I highly disagree. You should do it anyway but being a good person often has a cost. It’s illegal to feed homeless neighbors in many states. At work and in life, people will and do take advantage of kindness. Taking a stand can cost you your employment or education.

Exactly 3 years ago, I caught COVID for the first time.
I was not vaccinated, but it was a mild infection, so I was not too worried. Nobody could have told me then, that I would develop Long Covid and MECFS, and lose my life to it.
