Hi everyone! Iโm currently researching different issues regarding animal science & here to become part of a bigger platform and share these problems! ๐ฌ
Today on #WorldOceansDay, why not commit to stop using plastic straws? When at a restaurant, ask them not to bring you a straw. Take your own, made of reusable materials. It's an easy, positive step you can take to help the environment!
Animals deserve to be treated humanely in physical, social and mental care. We should really make an effort to reduce animal entertainment and improve zoo management.#39canimals
We complained about not being able to go out because of quarantine, now let's imagine how holding these chimps captive must be. They don't deserve this #39canimals
"Something people can do is to reduce the amounts of single-use plastic they generate. Single-use plastics are the majority of plastics found in the ocean" Plastics contaminate the water for all living animals and need to be kept out of the ocean #39canimals
I watched the film "A Plastic Ocean" and it's crazy to see how much plastic and trash goes into the ocean in just a small amount of time, we need to change the way we do things. #39canimals
"Partaking in beach clean-ups is a way people can be proactive and make sure the waters where sea otters and other marine mammals are living in are not getting polluted."
Take a look at the image to see which pieces of trash are commonly found #39canimals
It's important to keep up with what is going on around us. There are many advocates and people trying to make a change. We have the ability to use our voices and advocate for animal rights. #WhatIlearnedin39c
Feel free to look at my porfolio and get a better understanding of everything I learned and ways in which we could help animals #WhatIlearnedin39c

I have become more aware of the environment and learned that everything WE do impacts other species and many of the times they're impacted negatively. #WhatIlearnedin39c
39C taught me that when writing it's important to include multi-modality/ figures/ tables. The images and figures are just as important as the writing and can be a way of sharing more information. #WhatIlearnedin39c
This class taught me a way to annotate articles and be able to get the most valuable information. By splitting up each section the annotation process is much more beneficial. #WhatIlearnedin39c
The use of navy sonar is used when Vessels are trying to detect submarines; however, in the process of trying to find these submarines they emit low frequency sounds which has a negative effect on the animals and harms their ears and lungs #39canimals
"Article 192 stated that 'we must protect and preserve the marine environment,' which led to Article 30 where it gave the state permission to make warships leave the sea immediately if they were causing any type of harm to marine animals" #39canimals
A solution to reducing the noise levels in oceans starts with us by simply "soft-starting" vessels which can serve as a warning to cetaceans. #39canimals
"Out of 55 marine animal species that suffer from noise pollution, 24 of those species are prone to having the greatest amounts of detrimental effects which is 43% of the species suffering from these noises" #39canimals
"The loud noise emitted can damage their ears, body tissue, or just flat out kill them, which can have an effect on the dolphin population, as sometimes these animals are killed when theyโre pregnant," are some of the problems I discussed! #39canimals
#ClimateChange could have big consequences for a recently discovered population of blue #whales in #NewZealand who are genetically distinct from those of the Pacific & Southern oceans. The more we learn about them, the more we can help protect them ๐ค๐๐> https://t.co/6I9Bt2tZyd
We hope you are managing to connect with loved ones during this difficult time. Want to show someone special some love? Adopt a dolphin as a gift today ๐๐ฌ https://t.co/4fVOmOFeYT
#39canimals@MarineMammalOrg They have campaigns taking place to help end captivity and much more! They are making a difference. Read more to find out everything they are doing and how YOU can help and stay updated. https://t.co/wRcsAGBFDn
#39canimals@MarineMammalOrg Make a difference to marine animal life. They deserve to be free in the ocean without worrying of disruptions. By donating with this organization they are finding ways to end captivity and so much more!
