@TheBishF1@Circuitcat_eng Often wondered how much difference this stuff makes. The amount of times there was contact and bits missing, yet no observable speed difference to the average person watching it on telly (ie me).
@pipdunn@LNER Should just ban reservations. Since the @EastMidRailway system has been down it makes journeys so much less stressful. Keep it for disabled / bikes etc but the farce of reservations and none appearance vanishing makes journeys so much more pleasant.
@northernassist Hi, is there any chance you can move the passenger info board at Dore? The new platform is lovely, but when in the only shelter on the platform you can’t see any train information! Can you move it along the platform a bit or put something in the shelter?
Things less embarrassing than this:
Your card declining a pint of milk
Farting loudly in a full lift
Smiling at your crush when you’ve just drank something and it spills down your chin
Saying sorry to a shop mannequin
Your mum getting the baby photos out
@SpareSteward Shouldn’t have been an SC when 75% of the field is on inters. Can’t be that bad if they’re all running inters; or if it is, their own fault when they’re in the wall. Gamesmanship persuading for an SC instead of pitting for wets.
No way should they have an SC out there just because people haven’t got the right tyres on. Fine if it’s everyone on full wet, but when most field is on inter it’s taking the piss. #F1

If nothing else, this simply blows my mind. Deep Space Network is a true miracle.
“almost 23 hours for the command to travel more than 15 billion miles from Earth to the spacecraft, and another 23 hours for the data to travel back”
It will be a sad day when we lose contact with the Voyagers - they’ve been communicating with us from deep space since I was 9 years old! I watched them launch, watched them arrive at Jupiter, Saturn and, in the case of Voyager 2, Uranus and Neptune. I remember when Voyager 1 returned the Pale Blue Dot photograph. They feel like old friends and I do occasionally think about them out there in the darkness. Contact with Voyager 1 was lost and then re-established earlier this week using the low power S-band transmitter on the spacecraft that had not been used since 1981! Astonishing. That’s before Duran Duran released the Rio album :-) !!
@Libbyextra One of those lovely “non exciting” weeks of just normality after a few weeks of organised chaos. Sat having a brew on a bench watching the world go by during lunch break.
