@HaynesFord why is it impossible to speak to your service dept? Being put on hold indefinitely, spoke to sales and they took details for someone to call me and even that has not happened.
My inability to manually override the automatic ramp on @Motability@MotabilityOps car predates the mechanical failures. It only served to highlight the fact that O would be trapped if ramp failed for ANY reason.Just because it’s mechanically ‘fixed’ does not make it safe for us
Automatic ramp failure can be mechanical, it can also fail due to key fob malfunction, power failure, accident, fire. If I am unable to manually override the automatic ramp, my son will be trapped, injured /worse. It is an up front WAV. His only exit is via the ramp @Motability
Our @Motability@MotabilityOps new car automatic ramp has failed so many times since we have had it that it has been at the dealer for months. And they wonder why I am so concerned it will fail again trapping my son inside, should we be forced to continue with unsuitable car.
@MotabilityOps As this has been going on for months, and we are back where we started complaint wise, by posting on public socials I feel may highlight this situation we find ourselves in.
@raggytuk@Motability@MotabilityOps We took delivery of a vehicle with adaptions that had not been tested at initial test drive stage. The result is a vehicle that will trap my wheelchair using son. @MotabilityOps and @Motability are aware but currently forcing us to continue with this car.
@Motability Case manager - ‘ field sales ordered the automatic ramp because it was the cheaper option’
If I am unable to manually override the automatic ramp then my son will be trapped if it fails again in any way. Money vs safety
@Motability field sales staff ‘ the automatic ramp ( that you don’t need and we didn’t test to see if you could manually override in the event of ramp failure) has been approved. No idea why but it will make your lives easier….’
@Motability Field sales ‘ not gonna test if you can operate the automatic ramp manual override because you don’t need it and the Foundation won’t fund it’.
If it had been tested at the point of test drive, field sales would have known I could not operate it.
@MotabilityOps It is already at the complaint stage and we have a case manager. We took possession of the vehicle not realising the issues until my son became trapped in the vehicle. Going public now seems to be the only way to get help as foundation state they don’t have info needed from you
Got new vehicle from @MotabilityOps@Motability. Due to mistakes by field sales, we now being forced to take possession of a vehicle that will trap my son, leading to harm or worse case, death. Had enough now. #negligence
