Narcissistic mothers may twist the truth, then turn the family against you by playing the victim, claiming you’ve changed, and using guilt to pull you back under their control.
As a Christian, please answer me this question in all honesty.
If Jesus was to walk the earth today in human form, do you think he would be in support of the death penalty?
My therapist said that in narcissistic families, the child who tells the truth often becomes the threat, so the family focuses on discrediting them instead of facing what they’re saying.
happy pride month to all,
but mostly to my brothers and sisters i’ve met all around this world who should know,
i take pride in your courage.
it ain’t easy.
your own mental health should always be a priority.
i’m amazed at how easy it is to forget that simple fact.
it’s something that can sneak up on you, then eventually you check in on it and realize it’s in really bad shape.
i’m trying to cut through to who really needs to hear this.
this is tough, but it’s not hopeless.
fighting for your mental health is not public, it’s not glorious, it’s not even interesting, but it’s the greatest challenge you will face.
i use music, humor, being alone, breaks from social media, family, uncomfortable and honest conversations with friends, and sometimes crying.
a few tools, but they don’t all work for everyone. find what helps you take back ground lost.
