Trump has literally done nothing this entire second term except rename things for no reason, enrich himself & his Epstein pals, get us into a war he’s too stupid to get out of, and spend our money on shitty renovations nobody asked for. That’s literally it. Pathetic.
James Talarico: “What would Jesus say if he walked onto the floor of the US Senate? I think he would say I was hungry and you kicked me off food stamps. I was sick and you kicked me off Medicaid. If we claim to be Christians, we need to love our neighbors not just through our words, but through our actions, through our public policy”
Trump is ramping up the attacks and calling her "radical," but Dr. Annie Andrews has a few questions:
"What's so radical about thinking that when you're sick, you should be able to afford healthcare?
What's so radical about thinking that every county in SC should have an OBGYN?
What's so radical about thinking that if your community doesn't want a data center, there shouldn't be one built there?
What's so radical about believing every working South Carolina family should be able to afford food and keep the lights on?
In my opinion, Darlene Graham is the radical."
Damn. Mic drop. 🎤
Dolly Parton grew up steeped in Scripture and hymns with a congregation as her first audience. The bathed-in-the-blood granddaughter of a Pentecostal preacher who “preached so plain a child could understand” did not particularly like going to church. She called herself a Jezebel, yet woke up every morning at 3 A.M. to pray and, often, ask God two questions: “How can you use me?” and “What can I do today?” “Unlike most of us who ask questions like that, it seems like she really heeded the answer,” Casey Cep writes. I can't stop thinking about the juxtapositioning between an 80-year-old Dolly Parton and an 80 year old Donald Trump. One came from nothing, was happily married for 60 years, quietly gave millions of books to children and supported other great causes ...
I've been a Republican and I've been a Democrat. What's happening in Washington is not Republican or Democrat. It's chaos and corruption, and the extremism is tearing the country apart. – AH
If I were Dems, I'd definitely allocate $ to the South Carolina Senate race. Darline Graham is an embarrassingly poor candidate. Annie Andrews is an exceptionally strong candidate. I can't imagine Graham debating her. And remember, 25% of the SC electorate is POC. SC IS in play.
Thanks to large accounts doing what they usually do, every person on Twitter knows who Darline Graham is. Even by criticizing her, they've made her famous. Yet few outside South Carolina know her Democratic challenger, @AnnieAndrewsMD. Large accounts, PLEASE change your focus.
They are lowering US flags to half-mast for a week, but if the government really wants to pay tribute to Dolly, they should fund education, the arts, and medical research instead of trying to eradicate them.
