I'm pleased to release `llama-dl`, a high-speed download script for Facebook's 65B GPT model. It downloads at around 200MB/s, so it finishes ~18x faster than the torrent.
Be sure to read the disclaimers in the README. Enjoy.

Thanks for calling this out 🙏❤️ So, so many businesses only stand behind their people like this on paper, and would never engage on social media about customers displaying this sort of aggro behavior. You’re part of the solution, hope you know that!
Hey Brian, maybe just don’t stand in the doorway and make female staff feel SO uncomfortable when they ask you to move, that they need to call the owners for help 🙃
@paulg Hear me out.
On HN, you once commented “I don’t think there’s a word for this”, and the implications of that have sparked a great bar debate.
Did it mean that you know every word in the English language? Or just that you know enough to outrule it?
Writing code consists of: 10% the actual coding, 40% thinking through solutions and sanity checking them, and 50% trying to figure out which StackOverflow/YouTube browser tab was the useful one.
@RyanHoliday@Paykhan Humans often can’t control feelings. They can absolutely control how they cope with them. For many people (I am one of them) this must be painstakingly learned over time, as coping mechanisms run deep and are hard to overwrite. Stay empathetic.
Dear social media,
I have made a conscious effort to be hypersensitive to the way it *could* possibly make men feel to discuss issues related to being a woman in tech. I have been so careful to tread lightly.
Too little good faith has come my way for me to keep giving it. No man I know has ever had to apologize for not doing this, and I’m not going to apologize either.
