Shepherd Mission This week trained farmers in Odong, Alale, on 4 Climate smart technologies: Laying of terraces, sunken/raised beds, Zai pits, corn/ multi storey gardens. Farmers were supplied with seeds, grafted , and con/ multi-storey gardens

Spring protection is very critical in West Pokot County. Shepherd Mission protected 3 springs in Kalapata, Lorsuk, and Kachakalau in Alale ward.

Shepherd Mission & DCC office with support from UNDP CLIMATE PROMISE, planted more than 5000 tree in Kalapata, Kachakalau and Lorsuk in Alale. As we encourage the community to conserve their forests; we need to offer alternative sources of timber, pasture, and firewood.

Today is 10th May 2024, and the National Tree planting day. Shepherd Mission, in her efforts, sensitized the communities in Alale to form Community Forest Association in order to preserve their Forests. Thanks, KVDA Kishaunet, for sufficient tree seedlings
