@EV_Shortbus@BayouTD@KarlTheMartian@jordanbpeterson@CPBAOntario it's a strawman because the government isn't fucking taking someone's rights away.
if I say a slur at work and get fired, are my rights infringed because the government regulates my industry?
@BayouTD@KarlTheMartian@jordanbpeterson@CPBAOntario The government isn't requiring anything.
They're allowing a professional association to hold their certificate holders to certain standards. Same goes for lawyers, doctors, accountants, etc
@BayouTD@KarlTheMartian@jordanbpeterson@CPBAOntario Freedom of expression is between the government and individuals. Not between a professional association and individuals
The government has nothing to do with it
@RandaliciousRS@Vigilantecrab Technically correct, but you're still being disingenuous
You're painting it like they were some huge % of the vote. They have maybe 15% of the vote. You're also making it out like most other level ranges didn't want it. Majority of every level range did
@NegativeWeiss @MarinesRS "b-b-but people that have hundreds, not thousands of hours in the game shouldn't be allowed to vote"
Fucking hate this argument that people who've put plenty of time into this game shouldn't get a vote
@VeNoMzShibe@RandaliciousRS Here's the source. I think he's technically correct that it looks like it'd be really close to failing without <1200 TL players. Still a terrible argument that players with dozens if not a couple hundred hours in the game shouldn't get a say in votes.

@Vigilantecrab@RandaliciousRS He's being disingenuous as fuck. He's correct that it looks like sub 1200 level players voted overwhelmingly in favour, but he's also ignoring the fact that that looks to be about 20k of the 160k votes. And 1200-2100 players were also significantly in favour of sailing.
