@lynn_conry@nationalpost Directly from the GoFundMe page posted by her daughter “The funds would allow both myself, and her husband Denis to take time off work to spend time with and take care of my mom.”
@lynn_conry@nationalpost If family need to be with her until she can come home, they need to take leave from work, cover travel and accommodations. None of that will be covered otherwise

4 days out from my life-changing surgery, @Aetna has denied the appeal for my brain surgery.
to be clear, when i signed up to aetna months ago, the coordinator had confirmed they would cover this surgery. then, a week ago, they said the surgery was too experimental/elective and denied coverage. we appealed. that appeal was just denied today.
now, my neurosurgeon is trying to do a peer-to-peer consult with someone at aetna to explain why i need it so we don’t lose the surgery date on monday morning. aetna is not being responsive.
this is sadistic and a violation of basic trust. please spread this so they can’t ignore it. they may not care if i live or die but people should know just what kind of company they’re dealing with. and please pray they are able to have a peer-to-peer consult with my neurosurgeon and have a change of heart.
You're warned. This weekend's post is long, as I dissect what might happen if (when) Trump passes from the scene, and disparate factions in the GOP axis draw their long knives. And why their greatest tool in maintaining GOP discipline might fail suddenly.

@Universal4karts@BobPickard Credit: Babel installation by Cildo Meireles at the Tate, composed of 100s of old and new secondhand analog radios stacked in a tall tower. The radios are tuned to different stations reflecting the biblical story of the Tower of Babel and the complexities of modern communication.
@MichelleRempel@CBCNews@seanfeucht Kneecap isn’t coming to a public park in my community. Feucht is bringing his anti-LGBTQ roadshow disguised as “Christian” worship music to a public park while city of Abbotsford claims they are “neutral”. Our LGBTQ community has the right to feel safe in a city park.
Why is local radio important? Why is ham radio important during local states of emergency? Internet connections go down, cellphone service goes down, social media fails. Time for all governments to get serious about radio's role.

@JonFraserTF@Famlawoncoxwell@joe_warmington This is the story of the co-op housing in my childhood neighbourhood. The homes still
stand today and it’s a beautiful neighbourhood https://t.co/WXID6O9uVu
Abbotsford residents are advised to beware of a telephone scam circulating in the City, soliciting payment information through a pre-recorded voice message from a number appearing to belong to the City of Abbotsford.

STORY: Voting plunged in October's local elections. This occurred across the Fraser Valley and, seemingly, all of BC. And it wasn't just a localized dip:

This morning, I got a leaked document detailing how Doug Ford was gutting conservation authorities - which oversee & protect watersheds - to build houses. @EmmaMci & I spent the whole day trying to understand and explain what's going on and why it matters
