@chali_does_good @clovisusd Powerful comment and tremendous courage to speak to power and call for racial equity. Please continue this important work. I stand with you and feel free to let me know how I can support.

After graduating from Clovis High School, it saddens me to think that I am leaving students of color unprotected. I have advocated for diversity and cultural awareness and have tried my best in the past 4 years to do so. NOTHING has been changed from my freshman year. @clovisusd

Just had this cool 😎 Zoom talk with the Fresno Boys and Men of Color Book Club where they read and discussed I AM ALFONSO JONES. The session was titled “WE ARE ALFONSO JONES”. I answered their questions and read some pieces and it went over time and was fun! 3HR difference! 🙏🏾💙

It is an honor to be representing my class of 2020 as a youth leader. Thank you @ObamaFoundation for giving me the opportunity to share about myself and the work that I do as a Hmong-American young person.

In 2018 youth from @FaithInFresno and @bmocfresno conducted a research project and found that 97% of gang members surveyed met the criteria for PTSD. Gangs in Fresno should not deter community policing, they reveal how much it is needed.

These aren’t just the leaders of tomorrow. The Class of 2020—including Chali from MBK National Seed Community partner @bmocfresno and Michael from @MBKFellowship—is leading today. #WeAreMBK

[Fresno State NAACP @FS_NAACP]

In light of recent events, the Fresno State NAACP has started the process of taking action against the Clovis Unified School District’s history of racism. We are calling on all CUSD Alumni to fill out this survey, so that we may better support our current & future CUSD students!

“Now it is our turn to step up and be a voice for their community because their community is intertwined with ours.”

There can be no justice until everybody raises up their voice, their privilege, and their power to say and show that #BlackLivesMatter. Move your body if you can, move your resources if you can, move your knowledge if you can.
