Last week a bronze statue was unveiled commemorating a unique rescue decades earlier. In June 2016, a viral rescue occurred at the Sayran reservoir in Almaty, Kazakhstan, where strangers formed a human chain to save a man who went to rescue a drowning dog but the concrete banks were slippery so he couldn't get out. Ten years later, in March 2026, a bronze statue was unveiled at the exact site of the incident to commemorate this act of collective empathy and unity. ❤️ 🇰🇿 (🎥:jackie.sffgff)
