I’ve just concluded a meeting with all the infrastructure implementing agents who are working on Infrastructure projects, specifically the eradication of pit-laterines in our schools.

I have made it clear that any service provider that fails to deliver on projects should be held accountable. We cannot still be dealing with delays on these projects when the commitment has been clear.

We must eradicate all pit-laterines by 31 March 2025.

The learners at Queenstown Girls High School; Eastern Cape are desperately seeking assistance with reporting Mr Chesline Jekkels who has multiple sexual relations with the learners at the school.

The learners first reported Mr Chesline Jekkels at the beginning of the year to the Vice Principal of the school and up until now nothing has been done by the school regarding this matter.

Some of the learners who came forward about being sexually violated by Mr Chesline Jekkels are currently being mistreated by the school principal as well as other teachers. Leading other learners to believe that the principal and teachers are supporting Mr Chesline Jekels actions.

The learners are saying they don't feel safe anymore at the school as Mr Chesline Jekkels continues to flirt with them.

The learners are also saying they wanted the school to investigate the matter but it was simply brushed off.

Mr Chesline Jekkels who teaches Life Orientation and is also a coach of the 1st team Hockey and a member of the School Governing Body was fired from other schools for having sexual relationships with learners. Queenstown Girls High School looked past that and still hired Mr Chesline Jekkels to teach at an an all girls school.

A disturbed North Queensland man who r*ped his newborn daughter and then made his infant son do the same has been sentenced to life behind bars.

The Australian man, whose identity remains undisclosed to safeguard the children's identities, admitted guilt to 87 charges in Townsville District Court this week.

He displayed no emotional reaction upon receiving his sentence.

The man faced accusations of r*pe, indecent treatment of a child under 12 of lineal descent, besti*lity, producing, supplying, and possessing child exploitation material, burglary, and supplying drugs.

Moreover, the court learned that the man recorded the abuse and shared it with others online.
