I'm visiting America from Australia, and I have to say that you guys have a truly awesome country. Narratives of decline are off-the-mark. While there are faults, you guys are free & live on bountiful land. Those of us not born here are jealous. Be grateful for what you have!

I’m not a puppet Elon.. I’m a daughter of two immigrant parents that had to work their ass off to provide for me! I’m a product of welfare, I’m a product of section 8, I’m a product of poverty and I’m a product of what happens when the system is set up against you….But you don’t know nothing about that. You don’t know not one thing about the American struggle…. PS fix my algorithm

[Cardi B @iamcardib]

Just like Kamala Harris, I have been the underdog and I have been underestimated!! My success always discredited!… Let me tell you something, women have to work ten times harder and perform ten times better and STILL our success comes with excuses… its because shes pretty or because she slept her way to the top. I see the disgusting attacks against Kamala and it’s not only angered me but has motivated me MORE now than ever to not just say something, but to DO something!… I cant stand a bully!

How about that.

[Republicans against Trump @RpsAgainstTrump]

It would be a real shame if this tweet by Elon Musk (in 2022) saying that Trump is too old to be president went viral.

You know what to do.

BOOM. Mark Cuban tells Latino men in Arizona, “I’m here to tell you how you can make more money under Kamala Harris than you would under Donald Trump.” No message gets better than this one & there is no better messenger of this perfect message than Mark Cuban. So good.

I’d encourage all democrats to sign this petition and get a shot at the $1m and then vote for ⁦@KamalaHarris⁩. ⁦⁦@elonmusk⁩ offers $1 million a day to entice swing state voters to sign petition https://t.co/1xtEoxkMlT

It takes 3 seconds to find out this isn’t true, but why bother if we can spread this to millions of people in the meantime.

San Francisco is a geographically blessed city w a $14B budget for 800k people. That's the highest in the entire USA other than DC.

This means every SF crisis is self-inflicted by political incompetence or straight up corruption.

This election we can fix it. Voting guide 🧵:

There's a lot of misinformation about our assistance programs & we encourage #Helene survivors to continue applying for support from us. Serious Needs Assistance is one of many benefits we offer - designed to help people with emergency items while their application is processed.

Some personal news

Elon Musk followed me on X a couple years ago and has shared my work and been willing to respond to DMs about stories from time to time, including a back and forth we had for a story on the Secret Service last week.

Earlier this week, when I respectfully approached him via DM about his Sunday claim that Biden-Harris was ‘fast-tracking’ illegal immigrants to vote and provided information showing that confirmed it was not the case, Mr. Musk unfollowed me and blocked me from DMing him and said asking him for comment for a story via DM was inappropriate — despite him being willing to engage in the past. We did reach out to one of his companies, but did not receive a response.

Below is a link to our fact check on Mr. Musk's claims that Biden-Harris are flying migrants into the US and expeditiously granting them citizenship. Buried lede: It's absolutely false though we were unable to reach Mr. Musk for comment.

love the idea of immigrants crossing the border and immediately outbidding a white couple for a 3 bed/2 bath in suburban Virginia
