@AndyMasley The short rebuttal is that policies are carried out by other people. If those people are evil or incompetent, you should abandon that policy, even if it would be a good policy in an ideal world.
@panchromaticity > vegetarian
If you eat eggs/dairy, you can make something much like carbonara - many meat substitutes work fine, last time I used mushrooms fried in olive oil. It's not zero minutes but I can definitely knock it out in ten if I'm allowed to start with a bag of pre-cut shrooms.
@StephenGrove19@ProfTalmadge@shashj We know. https://t.co/UQJu3h1hP0
We mainly thought we'd be using them against Soviet infiltrators but we can turn them around, snow looks the same on the other side of Greenland.
@Rimmy_Downunder H. C. Andersen wrote "The Little Mermaid" in 1837 and none of the elements of that story are out of place for a story set in 1837.
You can push it *very* late it your writing isn't nonsense.
@Jiantkwazi@pitdesi That noise you're hearing might be in your ear and not in your car. Should mechanics also have a medical degree?
Fear about water damage might be paranoie. Should insurance adjusters be psychiatrists?
Shoes hurt your feet? Better get an orthopaedic surgeon in every shoe store.
@TheHouse385@pitdesi Here, you can get your eyes tested for $0 with no purchase, and if they find that there's nothing extra wrong apart from near/far sightedness, you can get glasses for less than $50.
In Denmark, which is otherwise a very expensive country.
@gattsuru No idea and, yeah, that's pretty bad. There's not really any *good* explanation here, we're on to finding out which terrible explanation is true.
@tracewoodgrains The problem is that you don't get to install that shit on my laptop
"Then you can't graduate"
So what I'm hearing is this school cannot graduate people who understands tech (except the few who understand so much tech, they fool this into thinking "we" "have" "no" "connection")
@QiaochuYuan Many people advocate for women's rights. Stand above the crowd, hold out for women's wrongs.
(Of course they care about ethics, they just don't have the moral skill to see any difference between "right" and "cool/popular." Most people don't.)
@stoneagenathan@matthewswspence My initial naive guess is: The consequences of a quick hire are worse now, with follow-on guesses that some of the changes are “harder to fire if bad” and “university degree worse signal value” and “more on-the-job training needed”
