This week, we kicked off our DT workshop phase of the Tourism Development Fellowship Program in partnership with TUI Care Foundation diving into the ideation stage.

The final ideas selected will move to the prototype phase.

We kicked off our year with the continuation of our 10-month SHIELD Tourism Development Fellowship Program, an initiative by TUI Care Foundation. Our fellows embarked on the Design Thinking Phase—a critical step toward crafting innovative, community-centered tourism solutions.

As we step into 2025, a year of growth, innovation, and empowerment, we are more committed than ever to creating opportunities for youths from underserved communities, equipping them with the tools, skills, and confidence to transform their communities.

2024 was a year of many firsts for us 📷

2023 has been a slow but fulfilling year for SHIELD.

1. We implemented a Design-Thinking workshop in Kakamega for Waweza Movement, an NGO that runs a rescue centre for orphaned kids.
