Make sure you have a clear content marketing strategy to help create new momentum in your sales.

If you struggle with writing and are looking for a new perspective that could change the game, I highly recommend @kadavy's book Mind Management, Not Time Management. I've since purchased two others of his books, and I'll be diving into those books next!

Instead of thinking I need three different mindsets for draft-write-edit/publish, expanding the stages and then analyzing my schedule to find the optimal time to batch these tasks has been a massive shift in my writing velocity aka writing speed.
Have you tried this trick yet?
π΅"It's the most wonderful time of the year!"
Today is Labour Day in Canada and the US, I always feel a sense of new beginnings in early September.

I've been working on increasing my #writing "velocity" lately. Here are three things that have helped:
1) Always have a great outline for every #paper or #book chapter
2) Keep focused with noise-canceling headphones
3) Sh*t first draft mantra, you'll shape it later
With every writing project, your first question should be, "what's your core message?" Sometimes I think of this as, "what's my promise to the #reader?"
How do you start your #writing work? What's your first step to get the core message right?
I'm starting my first book ghostwriting project, & I've read a lot about book writing - @anjanetteharper's new book is now my top-of-the-list recommendation.
This book pulls the writer out of the "what do I want to say" mindset and focuses on "what does my reader need to hear"?
You can't force #creativity; it comes in the quiet moments when you aren't thinking at all about your work - the space in between your thoughts when new #ideas start to emerge - can be a powerful practice if you're ready to listen.
Where do you find sparks of creativity? β¨
This is exactly the kind of work I love to do - helping my clients tell new stories that establish them as experts in their field.
Do you struggle to share your expertise? What's helped you breakthrough the resistance and get more comfortable with it?

Here are some of the questions to ask yourself as you work through your #writing edits:
- Is my point-of-view clearly expressed?
- Is there data to support this POV?
- Does the ending move people to take action, whether as a CTA or perhaps applying the concepts described?
I'm coming up on the one-year anniversary of Shift Wisdom 2.0 (where I started focusing entirely on #writing & thought #leadership) & reflecting on how lucky I've been to work with an incredible group of founders & #changemakers to help them share their #ideas with the world.
Many of my clients are asking me to help them write a piece that connects their work to the emerging practice of leading workers who aren't all at the office.
The world needs your brilliance to have a positive influence on how work is changing in real time.

"Hustle culture" tells us we should be pushing hard and working long hours to be successful, but sometimes, there's an easier path forward if we simply take time to consider other possibilities.
I'm usually thinking, "how can I stop letting myself get distracted?"
I am practicing catching myself in the moment and asking what the source of my distraction is. It's the catching myself part that is hard, but it's helping me figure out how to stay on track.
I do a lousy job of celebrating major #milestones. I've noticed that I am so focused on what's next, or what isn't working well in my business, that I forget to celebrate what IS working well.
Do you find yourself doing this too? What wins can you #celebrate this week?
