I am not paying a dime to subscribe to any social media outlet, regardless who owns it and what side of the political aisle they subscribe to. I'm here for Iran, so not a bot, however one defines that.
With great sadness, we received information of the passing of Edith Eva Eger, an Auschwitz Survivor.
Edith was born on 29 September 1927 in a Jewish family in Budapest. She was the youngest daughter of Lajos and Ilona Elefánt.
She attended a gymnasium and took ballet lessons. She was a member of the Hungarian Olympic gymnastics team. In 1942, the Hungarian government enacted new anti-Jewish laws, and she was removed from the gymnastics team.
In March 1944, after Nazi Germany installed a pro-German regime in Hungary, Edith Eger was forced to live in the Kassa (Košice) ghetto with her parents and her sister Magda. In May of that year, they were deported to Auschwitz. She was separated from her mother, who was murdered in a gas chamber.
In November 1944, Edith and Magda were consigned to ammunition trains and slave labor. In May 1945, they were liberated from Gunskirchen - one of the subcamps of Mauthausen.
After the war, Edith Eger moved to the United States. She became a psychologist and a specialist in the treatment of post-traumatic stress disorder.
Edith Eger was 98 years old.
🔴The parents of Naser Bakarzadeh, a 32-year-old Kurdish prisoner in Urmia Central Prison, have released a video message pleading for a halt to their son's execution.
🔸According to the family, Naser has been in prison for three years. His parents maintain his innocence and have called on the public, religious leaders, civil activists, and human rights organizations to take action to prevent his execution. His father noted that prior to his arrest, Naser was active in the tourism sector.
Naser Bakarzadeh was sentenced to death on charges of "espionage for Israel." His sentence had been overturned twice by the Supreme Court due to a lack of sufficient evidence and violations of due process. However, in the climate following the recent war, Branch 39 of the Supreme Court has upheld the sentence for a third time and officially notified him. For his family, the fundamental question remains: if the case was so flawed that the death sentence was overturned twice, why was the same verdict upheld the third time?

While the world is focused on the Strait of Hormuz, Iran is stepping up executions. 17 killed in 5 weeks - and another today - most in secret, no warning to families, bodies withheld. Huge thanks to @amnesty, @IHRights and my sources. Read: https://t.co/s3nJQQkalX
I truly feel bad for Iranians who genuinely believed in @PahlaviReza, especially those inside Iran. But I am amazed to see how, as usual, they are way ahead of their counterparts in the diaspora, already calling him out on his lies and hypocrisy. This is the voice of Manouchehr Bakhtiari, the father of slain Pouya Bakhtiari, from inside prison, who has been a longtime Pahlavi supporter 😔
He says:
“Your unfounded promises and the deception carried out by those around you, such as claims of 150,000 defected regime forces and a so-called ‘eternal army’, only put people’s lives at risk.
Here, bullets are real. Prison is real. Execution is real. Women and men who continue to stand are real. The prices they have paid, and continue to pay, are real. Today is the time for action, not hollow promises and performative actions.”
Erfan Kiani, an Iranian protester, was forced to confess on state TV before the regime in Iran executed him.
He was falsely accused of being a Mossad agent.
The regime knows that for Western leftists, “Mossad” is the magic word that turns torture into justice.
More than 500 people have been executed since January.
The war never stopped. It just turned inward.
And Western leftists have become unwitting accomplices—acting as the regime’s foot soldiers in the West, repeating its propaganda while Iranians pay with their lives.
Why do so many Iranians get radicalized toward the right and the far-right?
Because in the supposed “left” demonstrations they are faced with Hezbollah flags and defense of the regime in Iran and downplaying of its massacres
MB Ghalibaf’s handshake with JD Vance, who is one of those who are responsible for the assassination of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, has sparked anger among hardline extremists, a source in Iran tells me.
At the same time as radical conservatives like Saeed Jalili, Ahmad Vahidi, and Zolqadir continue to take key positions and grow more powerful in Iran, the prospects for an agreement between Iran and the US seem increasingly unlikely.

Only a few hours remain until tomorrow’s dawn, and the news has just reached us: they are being taken for execution.
Ehsan Hosseinipour, Matin Mohammadi, and Erfan Amiri… sentenced to death for “burning a mosque”! A building whose sanctity could never outweigh the precious lives of these young men, the very same building from whose rooftop they fired bullets into the hearts and faces of protesters. An accusation built on zero evidence and extracted through forced confessions.
In utter desperation, with our breath held tight, we reach out in prayer, hoping our voices might reach someone, anyone, and these lives can still be saved.
We asked for nothing more than life and freedom. In return, they are stealing our lives and our dreams with bullets, oppression, and the hangman’s noose.

Reports indicate that the death sentences of Ehsan Hosseinipour, Matin Mohammadi, and Erfan Amiri have been upheld and referred for implementation.
Hosseinipour is 19, and Mohammadi is 20.
According to reports, their confessions to setting fire to a mosque in Pakdasht were obtained under torture. Ehsan himself said that a weapon was put in his mouth.
🚨 Tehran’s police chief just exposed the truth - it was the regime, not foreign agents, that massacred protesters.
For months, the regime and its Western apologists blamed the January massacre on “Mossad/CIA agents.”
Now Ahmad Reza Radan himself calls it a “second war” and an “urban war” against Iranians and admits pride in it.
This wasn’t foreign interference. It was the Islamic Republic regime waging war on its own people where over 45,000 unarmed Iranian protestors were massacred.
Lies don’t stay hidden forever.
Iranian authorities have held three members of a Baha'i family from Shiraz incommunicado for over 20 days, with no charges or whereabouts disclosed, sources told IranWire. IRGC-affiliated forces detained the siblings and a brother-in-law.

Qalibaf has NOT resigned or pushed out from the Iranian negotiation team and the claims by the Israeli channel 12 that he has "is a joke", a source in Tehran told me
In an extremely notable development, Israel’s N12 news outlet is reporting that the Iranian Speaker of the Parliament Mohammad-Bagher Ghalibaf has been forced to resign from the Iranian negotiating team by factions within Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC).
Unusual indeed. Does genuine stability require synchronized assurances from the Islamic Republic’s president, foreign minister, and speaker of parliament?
When cohesion must be loudly and uniformly proclaimed, it certainly raises doubts.
NY Times on the physical state of Mojtaba Khamenei, the new Supreme Leader of Iran: "One leg was operated on three times, and he is awaiting a prosthetic. He had surgery on one hand and is slowly regaining function. His face and lips have been burned severely, making it difficult for him to speak, the officials said, adding that, eventually, he will need plastic surgery."

🚨 More than 100 Basij members were deliberately poisoned and hospitalized.
In Parand, Tehran, an unidentified individual reportedly poisoned the food of over 100 Basij members. A Basij member, Amirhossein Mirzaei, also died due to severe poisoning.
My heart broke when I just watched the forced confession of this young boy on Iran’s state TV.
They tell him: “You are Mohareb.”
He asks: “What does that mean?”
He was so young, he didn’t understand that it means one thing in Islamic Republic:
execution
A 17-year-old boy, Shervin Bagherian, was arrested in Iran’s recent protest. Now in the middle of a war they are preparing to execute him.
His only crime was wanting a normal life. There is still time to speak up. Will you stand with me and be his voice before it’s too late?

The size of Iranian delegation was read by some as sign of how serious they were about talks. Hard to believe considering lack of trust in the US after talks led to war twice. So it was always much more likely Iranians all wanted to be there because they also don't trust each other
