To celebrate #Worldwetlandsday on 2nd February, the Practical Conservation Volunteers dug a pond on New Fen - water was found just below the surface.
The pond will be at the edge of the Wildflower Walk round the fen. Well done to all the Volunteers!

New hedges planted on Carr Meadow before Xmas Buds are appearing on the Field Maple, Hazel, Blackthorn, Guelder Rose and Crab Apple that form the main hedge. The 10 Oak trees dotted along the hedgerows are also waking up. Funded by Countryside Stewardship Higher Level Scheme.
