@markulinity @Only1Para A scene from a movie — even one as well-acted as this— isn't going to persuade someone not to have kids. (And, if it somehow did, that probably wasn't someone who would've been a particularly good parent to begin with.)
@GammaTaker @therealjoebob Great non-answer. Shouldn’t have been hard to respond to if you had a good point to make. You don’t even think for yourself enough to use your own words but instead screenshot someone else’s.
@LauriLinnea@judypancoast@therealjoebob How would you go about promoting the charities and saying why they were chosen without “leftist propaganda”? They picked them because they’d had funding cut. And I fell asleep before the end of “Iced” so could be wrong, but I don’t recall him mentioning Trump or republicans once.
@aneerbas@ughfinewhatever If you’re “tackling almost every hard problem a person can,” then you aren’t “never forcing yourself to do anything you don’t want to do,” almost the opposite. I’m sure overcoming those challenges was daunting and difficult but worth it.
@coldhealing lol he cracked my back like ten years ago when I was on a roadtrip and stopping though Charleston. Absolutely incredible, especially after being in a car for several hours. Had a good sense of humor too.
@_maybcoco @DripTowers @signedjehanne Starting out, I’d stick to anthologies. You’ll find poets you personally like, and you’re really reading the best of the best.
@DripTowers @signedjehanne There’s a great poetry textbook called “Sound and Sense” where every chapter is dedicated to one element of poetry (e.g., meter, rhyme, diction, etc.) with great poems as examples and questions/prompts to illustrate the chapter’s lesson.
@vkargatis@roropsych@sbkaufman How much of a demand is that really though? You’re already using a pronoun to refer to them, they’re just asking you use a different one they prefer. About as demanding as if a coworker asked you not to use a nickname for them they didn’t like instead of their real name.
@k_d_payne@glukianoff I love their last two albums but I feel like even if it’s not your cup of tea that it’s still awesome that they continued to evolve their sound rather than just continue to make (albeit great) slowcore
@k_d_payne@glukianoff In a way it's maybe for the best that Low didn't because I feel like that could've limited their late-career experimentation and creativity
@kettlevinyl I think you're onto something because he's also holding an airplane, which are really big normally but here the airplane is relatively small
