I am not opposed to innovation. I am opposed to indiscriminate development.
If Pax Silica demands immense land, water, and energy, then rigorous transparency and accountability are non-negotiable. Progress that depletes our finite resources while disproportionately benefiting a select few is not advancement, it is exploitation.
Questioning this project is not anti-progress. It is an insistence that development be equitable, sustainable, and in the national interest.

i'm so sick and tired of seeing surveillance technology being promoted within fashion. when exactly are these brands and individuals planning on growing a spine and saying no to right-wing agendas?
tbh yeah it’s corny but there was such a level of queer acceptance that has objectively backslid since. i’d so much rather have corny queerness/allyship vs this new wave of homophobia + transphobia that’s come about in the past few years
I have to flag this "fact" for what it is: BCDA did not actually refute the myth. Surface water is community water — it's the same basin, the same flow that downstream farms and households rely on.
“They should have special screenings that prohibit phone use in cinemas!”
We do. It’s called every single one of them, until you weirdos forgot or decided you were above that basic and very functional agreement
no. shut it down. nobody wants it. americans don't want it in their soil and they ran here to build it instead. we don't want it either. #NoToPaxSilica
those americans had so much to say abt that filipino grad they accused of using ai but their silence abt what their government is doing on our soil is far more deafening 🩷
Chinese incursions on Batanes & Western parasitic data centers as part of the Pax Silica agreements atp i have no idea how the fuck someone taking sides of either China or US
i'm so fucking exhausted trying to explain why i'm against pax silica.
i'm from tarlac and the proposed hub in new clark city is planned near my home!!! people i know keep throwing around words like "innovation," "investment," and "progress," while i'm over here watching a damn 1,600-hectare development get celebrated without anyone stopping to ask what happens to the land that's already there!!!? +
What's funny is that Wikipedia is a fantastic and accurate website but the real reason you can't cite it in papers is because it's a tertiary source. I was taught to use wikipedia as the starting point and use the citations as a place to find citable sources
the ai data center they want to build in the Philippines is 38x the size of the Mall of Asia, which is the 6th largest mall in Asia.
that's 252,130,000 square feet.
6404.102 kilometers.
3979.324 miles.
reject pax silica.
