*Data during this period are incomplete because of the lag in time between when the death occurred and when the death certificate is completed, submitted to NCHS and processed for reporting purposes. This delay can range from 1 week to 8 weeks or more,

@tixofthetrade @KelWoodbury If you read the report it’s based on received death certificates instead of a tally by the states. Death certificates on average take 4-8 weeks to process which is the result of the delay in deaths. There is another page on the CDC site that has a more real time count.

@YbehindtheY @DickieV There’s nothing to compare this to. If you compare our restrictions to other countries we’re far more lenient. Shutting down our economy gives us time to prepare our health care system so we’re prepared. Opening before will only make this issue worse.
