The only Governor working in Nigeria is Igbo - Alex Otti.
The only person that can save Nigeria is Igbo - Peter Obi.
Respect the Igbos.. They know how to package their own very well, and bring the rest of y'all down, but they are all in your cities, enjoying the bad governance of your own leaders.
Wise people.
“Baby Girl” by Beninese artist Nel Oliver, recorded in the late 1980s, is a heartfelt, multilingual song (English, French, Yoruba, and Gun) that captures a father’s blend of love, pride, and quiet sadness as he gives his daughter away on her wedding day. It beautifully reflects the bittersweet reality of watching a child grow up and begin a new chapter of her own.
By God’s grace, I’ll be playing this song for my daughters on their wedding day. 🎈🎊
China’s U23 team finishing runner-up at the AFC U23 Asian Cup didn’t just end a 22-year wait for a Chinese men’s team to reach an Asian final — it broke a long-held national mindset of disappointment around the sport.
For years, Chinese football has lived with lowered expectations. Missed World Cups, institutional disorder, and a decline so visible that Donald Trump once joked China could achieve almost anything it committed to — except men’s football. Fans learned to brace for frustration before kickoff. This time, optimism returned.
This U23 run became a payoff for long, painful anti-corruption efforts.
The deeper story is off the pitch. China’s “lost three decades” of the game were shaped by match-fixing, gambling scandals, and real-estate money bending the rules. Past intervention didn’t heal the market — it warped it. In recent years, however, domestic authorities have moved to dismantle that system, drawing a hard line. The former president of the Chinese Football Association and a former national team head coach, both once at the center of the sport’s power structure, were jailed. Their downfall was later broadcast in state anti-corruption documentaries, serving as public cautionary tales. The message was clear: reset the football system.
Signs of change are now emerging. This U23 squad included three players from Xinjiang, not as tokens but as core contributors, reflecting a pathway where all ethnic groups grow within a shared national community. As infrastructure investment moves westward, better facilities are changing youth training. More kids now practice on well-equipped school fields with snow-covered mountains in view. That soil — open, competitive, and inclusive — could one day nurture China’s own Barcelona-style talent cradle.
For many in China, the runner-up finish mattered less than what it represented: proof that breakthroughs were still possible.
For 50 years, Awolowo pursued Igbo political unity at the detriment of the survival of the Yoruba race in Nigeria while Igbo leaders dined and wined with Fulani elites.
We don't need such unity again, everybody will carry their load in Nigeria. What the Igbo elites want in Nigeria is similar to what Fulani elites want in Nigeria.
Unity is not emotional or trauma bonding. Wishing you all the best.
Is there any South west Yoruba land politician living in the South East ?
Can you say the same for the malt and gala politicians?
Home is governed so bad ,they all run away from it
lol. Better go back to school.
Beijing - 1,280 people/km²
New York - 10,970 people/km²
London - 6,045 people/km²
Johannesburg - 3,585 people /km²
Lagos - 19,000 people/km²
To paint how populated Lagos is, Lagos generates more metric tonnes of solid waste per day than all the COUNTRIES in West Africa except Ivory Coast. Let me paint this “Monalisa” well for you. Lagos as a STATE in Nigeria generates more metric tonnes of waste per day than entire countries of:
1Benin
2Burkina Faso
3Cape Verde (Cabo Verde)
4Gambia
5Ghana
6Guinea
7Guinea-Bissau
8Liberia
9Mali
10Mauritania
11Niger
12Senegal
13Sierra Leone
14Togo
If they carry the population of Lagos and its land mass to London, London will completely shut down its entire transport infrastructure!
A cow eats 25kg of grass per day.
That grass has already pulled CO2 from the atmosphere yesterday.
The cow burps some methane (made from that yesterday-CO2).
12 years later, that methane breaks down into... CO2.
Which grass absorbs tomorrow.
It's a closed loop. A circle. No new carbon enters the system.
Compare to your car: Burning carbon that was buried for 300 million years, releasing NEW carbon into atmosphere, creating actual accumulation.
One is a cycle. One is extraction.
But the cow gets blamed for climate change while you drive to the protest.
Westerners be like: “why do many Chinese students go to Western universities if Chinese ones are supposedly better?!! Chinese Universities must suck!"
Many Chinese students head abroad not because domestic universities are "worse," but because China's top-tier University are insanely competitive with extremely limited seats.
For domestic students, acceptance rates at these elite institutions are under 1% sometimes as low as 0.1% or less overall, and it gets even tougher depending on the province. In high-competition areas like Henan or Shandong, you're fighting millions for a handful of spots
Everyone Knows Shell, bp, and ExxonMobil
But the Real Power Sits Somewhere Else
Shell, bp, ExxonMobil are builders.
💰They spend billions drilling holes in the ground.
But the traders play a different game.
The hidden giants: Vitol, Trafigura, Glencore.
The difference is structural.
👨🏭 Operators
• Take geological risk
• Spend capital years before cash flows
• Make money only if prices cooperate
• 💡Key metric: Reserves Replacement
👨💼 Traders
• Take zero geological risk
• Deploy balance sheet, ships, storage, timing
• Make money on volatility, not direction
• 💡Key metric: Arbitrage spread
Vitol does not care if oil is $100 or $40.
They care if oil is $40 in Texas and $42 in Tokyo.
They charter the tanker
They book the storage
They move the molecule
They pocket the spread millions of times a year.
In 2022, while producers struggled with policy shocks and cost inflation, Vitol made $15 billion in profit.
That is more than the GDP of some countries 🤯
