Really sad to see the end of these brands on the high st. I know in time the #britishhighst will come back stronger with more relevant store, but right now, 10,000 could lose their jobs. #shoplocal#shopblack
Online fashion retailer Asos buys Topshop, Topman, Miss Selfridge and HIIT brands from failed retail group Arcadia in deal worth £295m https://t.co/8otuhKd0AZ
Agreed. However we are social animals & enjoy shopping, the high st is going to look very different however we are optimistic that it’s going to be better
This pandemic is accelerating a Darwinian movement in retail. Strong getting stronger and the weak are falling away. A bit of a moment that Boohoo, the online fast fashion retailer, is buying the rights to 243 year old Debenhams. No stores involved in the deal.
I am honored to be the first male spouse of an American President or Vice President. But I'll always remember generations of women have served in this role before me—often without much accolade or acknowledgment. It’s their legacy of progress I will build on as Second Gentleman.
I basically want to cry. You can’t imagine what we’re seeing inside hospitals today. The scale of the suffering. The horror of it all. No-one who saw it would EVER dismiss the dying for being too old or too unwell. Never. They’d do everything they could to help. This is so wrong.
Why are the Nightingale hospitals not running to capacity? Why are our NHS doctors and staff having to live with this horror, expected to chose between life and death. Govt must create resources now. Not one life regardless of age should be dismissed.

@DeborahMeaden Sorry to hear that and hope they are ok. In this country we have brilliant tech minds, tech businesses who could create a platform working efficiently, potentially saving lives. However, seems criteria to be awarded lucrative contract was not merit but ‘contacts’ It’s scandalous
It’s not. Businesses prevented from making a living but no extra help! This has repercussions for #Retail clothing. The shops will reopen but we need buyers who won’t buy if there is no where to go. Our restaurants and pubs have spent many £s on screens etc. #moneyforNorthWest
If ever there was a moment when beauty needed our help, this is it. It’s a Save our Salons moment according to many in the industry. https://t.co/zQFtdS4NKn
