$LINK and $PENDLE are showing strong momentum, particularly in their efforts to streamline institutional onboarding processes.

$LINK was also among the most purchased tokens last week. Appearing two weeks in a row...👀

The DeFi sector leads with the highest percentage of NET Swap Inflows, marking the growing interest in projects with solid fundamentals.

There’s a negative outflow of MEME tokens such as PEPE and GROK. It seems that there’s a shifting preference towards more established protocols...at least until retail's back.

We observe a stablecoin allocation cut by 50% compared to Week 42. This is indicative of investor readiness for a bullish market return.

The trend, highlighted by a divergence starting in WEEK 45, aligns with a 25% surge in BTC and ETH prices.

This behavior is typical of a strategic pivot towards higher-risk assets.

Our smart money wallets are primarily trading on ETH mainnet and ETH layer 2s.

Here are some degen coins we noticed smart money's paying attention to.

These tokens represent new launches and currently possess a market capitalization of less than $1 million. This is one of our methods to find upcoming potential gems - definitely NOT a suggestion to ape in.

Notes on our Methodology:

1. Data Sources. We curate the data ourselves, and it’s not data pulled from any tools. We use APIs like Flipside to pull raw data, which we filter and analyze using SQL and Python.

2. Finding Smart Money. A few months ago, we began tracking whale wallet activity for specific tokens showing substantial price increases. We’re focused on the wallets that have a pattern of finding gems around ~30 days before price increases.

3. Wallet Rotations. Sometimes smart money will underperform (or they'll rotate wallets). We'll cut those. We'll also rotate in new interest wallets. This keeps things fresh and up to date.

How to Use Smart Money

They’re meant to be a way to spot potential gems and to find trends early.

They’re not meant to be buying signals. Use these as a way to spot gems to conduct further research.

How to use the DefiLlama ChatGPT PlugIn, turn ChatGPT into your personal DeFi analyst, and save yourself hours of time researching.

First, shout out to @0xKofi for creating this awesome plugin.

To use the plugin, you’ll need ChatGPT Plus, which costs $20/month. Once you have ChatGPT Plus, go through these steps to install the plugin:

1. Select GPT-4
2. Ensure that you have “Plugins” selected
3. Go to the Plugin Store
4. Search for DefiLlama
5. Install

Great, now you’re ready to begin.

The DefiLlama plugin can pull TVL and Bridge Flows for Chains and TVL, Fees, and Revenue for Protocols. It can also pull information on yield pools.

In this case, we’ll ask ChatGPT to find chains which have been growing recently. I used this prompt:

“You are a DeFi analyst.

Your task is to use DefiLlama to compile the following information:

The 5 chains with the largest TVL increases by $ amount in the past 7 days. Create a table displaying these 5 chains, their new TVL, their old TVL, their TVL $ change over the past 7 days, their TVL % change over the past 7 days, and their bridge flows.

The 5 chains with the largest % TVL increases in the past 7 days. Exclude any chains with under $1 Million in TVL. Create a table displaying these 5 chains, their new TVL, their old TVL, their TVL $ change over the past 7 days, and their TVL % change over the past 7 days.”

BOOM. ChatGPT spits out tables concisely summarizing this information.

And that’s just the start of what you can do with this plugin. ChatGPT can’t fully replace the research process, but it can make you more efficient.
