@lawrev86 @AmericanAir We’re still waiting on our reimbursement check for lost luggage too! Our luggage has been missing for 2 months. They also refused to reimburse for any delay expenses, they are the worst
Good news! @AmericanAir finally declared my luggage lost after 2 entire months!
Bad news - now they’re trying to refuse to cover any of our delay expenses…
Do I:
a) take it up in small claims court
b) file a complaint with @USDOT
c) both
Today is the day our luggage is supposed to FINALLY be declared lost… and yet not a peep from the airline 🙃
@americanair I’m not going away until you give me our luggage or process the claim 💪📣
@ShaunT49@AmericanAir Agreed! If you don’t mind sharing what your next steps are, that would be super helpful. We’re waiting until the end of the month for them to actually declare it lost and determine that outcome first, before we take further action.
@ShaunT49@AmericanAir That’s ridiculous! Like just over 10% of the value!? Central baggage doesn’t have a direct number anymore so it is indeed impossible to connect with an actual person who can do anything.
It has been 52 days since our luggage was “delayed” with @AmericanAir we have not received our luggage or any compensation @USDOT
Anyone else go through this process and it was finally resolved?! 52 days isn’t a delay anymore imo 🫠
@SadCustomers@AmericanAir@bbb_us I’m in contact with my credit card company but they can’t process anything until the bag is declared lost, and the airline has not declared it lost 😵💫
Stopped for a chat with @americanair baggage at DFW. Our luggage was “delayed” 48 days ago at CVG. Apparently they only keep unclaimed bags for 5 days. Interesting that they move bags through there rather quickly but then take months to declare them lost…
