@DarrylConrad Calling cute plays that kill drives isn’t a Poles problem. Having a terrible offense scheme without its best defender isn’t a Poles problem. Defense having no dbs anywhere where near receivers isn’t a Poles problem.
@ETBrowning01@treywallace The umps were soft, if the umps can’t handle a moment like the national championship series where emotions are high and every call matters, they should not be in the state of Nebraska. LSU was the better team but working 11 months to have questionable is not acceptable.
@downitdrew@jeff_gluck@Jordan_Bianchi Jimmie’s already raced and won the Daytona 500, this appears to be more for names like Helio and other series stars as a marketing tool for nascar, almost seems like this is a push for Indy/F1 names to be guaranteed to make the race because they won’t do it without it
@jeff_gluck This rule seems fine to me, I understand the criticism, but with the limited track time now, why would a team fund a ride for a 1 off for a world wide name when theres a big shot they don’t make the race. This is to market the sport which people complain that they don’t do enough
Tonight was special. So many Iowa Staters have grown up expecting the worst. And frankly, it's impossible to blame them after 100 years of consistent, painful losing.
When Matt Campbell got to Ames, he told me early on during a podcast in his office that his biggest challenge here was to change the mindset of the fan base. Expect to win. Expect good things to happen.
We joke about his "process," but that is really what it all comes down to. I realize this more in my personal life with age. If you do the right things every day, it compounds over time.
That's what his program, and this season is all about.
This team got buried after the Kansas game (I am guilty). With all of the injuries, it took a lot for them to get up off the deck.
They did.
I am happy for the fan base and the people at Iowa State.
Enjoy it, and go BYU!
