@JLRINVESTIGATES@JLRINVESTIGATES these look like FBI Agents in normal Federal Government Rental Cars. When 2 or more of us from same agency traveled in the Federal Government we always had to share a large rental car.
I can’t support this bill. It doesn’t meet the urgency of the moment and deliver actual relief that can pass both chambers of Congress.
I’ve been clear that we need real action to stop the devastating health care cost increases that are hurting millions of families.
Trump and Republican leaders created this crisis, and they’ve only used it to make things worse for working families by withholding food assistance for millions for their own political gain.
This fight isn’t over, and I’m going to continue to stand with so many who are being hurt.
I’ve voted 7 times to reopen the government in a way that holds Trump accountable for his lawlessness and prevents a health care crisis.
I’m prepared to work toward a compromise, but this “deal” before us does not come close to meeting those terms. Voting NO.
Full statement:
This is not a deal — it's an empty promise.
Trump and his Republican Congress are making healthcare more expensive for the middle class and ending it for working families.
Time for Democrats to stand tall for affordable healthcare.
I'm voting no. In the richest country in the world, families shouldn’t have to choose between putting food on the table and their health care. But that’s exactly what Donald Trump has done to Americans with this shutdown.
There should’ve never been a shutdown in the first place, and I worked to find a solution with Republicans and this administration. But Donald Trump has proven he doesn’t care about rising costs, skyrocketing health care premiums, or working families struggling to put food on the table. He has spent more time working on his ballroom than working to open the government. He sued to block food assistance for hungry families.
I’ve spent the last month hearing from Arizonans worried they can’t afford health care and families who were going broke and hungry because the government was shut down. That’s who I’m fighting for. But Donald Trump rejected a straightforward compromise that would have best served all Americans by reopening the government and keeping health care from becoming unaffordable and out of reach for millions, including thousands of Arizonans. If he’s ready to get serious on a solution to keep health care premiums from spiking, I'm ready to work, but everything he’s done suggests he just doesn’t care.
🚨NEW: Senator Elizabeth Warren slams the GOP shutdown deal: "I think it's a terrible mistake. The American people want us to stand and fight for health care, and that's what I believe we should do."
RETWEET if you stand with @SenWarren against the GOP!

SOLD OUT America IMO, SOLD OUT AMERICAN FAMILIES+AMERICAN KIDS in need & when your health insurance costs double or triple you can thank IMO these 3 U.S. Senators who sold you out.
I will not support a deal that does nothing to make health care more affordable.
We are in a health care emergency. A simple one-year extension of these tax credits would cost less than Donald Trump’s $40 billion bailout for Argentina.
A vote for this bill is a mistake.
.@SenSchumer
PLEASE explain to us all HOW Senate Democrats are going to screw over the American people in exchange for a "PROMISE" of a vote from Republicans in Dec-Jan.
Republicans have said repeatedly they will NEVER vote in favor of extending ACA.
So WHY would you do this?
