Today is Mohammed’s funeral; he was murdered by an Israeli drone strike yesterday. This man was nothing but a shining example of humanity, doing his part to support the environment.
I want everyone to see this because the West has dehumanised so much of our identity across the Middle East for centuries. They’ve been made to believe we come from nothing more than desert tents that flap in the wind. We come from culture. We must humanise our region and people.
social media will have you convinced humanity is beyond repair but then you go outside - a stranger pays for your coffee, a family prays before dinner, a young couple shares a pastry in the sun. you’ll remember this world still revolves around love & goodness governs most of us
