We are using needle guns & grinders to remove paint from bridge. Work will be noisy until bridge surfaces have been cleaned of all old paint & rust, but quieter when re-painting starts.

From this weekend work is Sat-Thurs nights 10pm–6am until 31 Oct.

This was the first train arriving into newly extended platform 2 at GQS this morning ( a 7-car #class385) And some footage of the first @ScotRail 8-car #class385 to depart from station – this time from platform 3.
Another milestone in the redevelopment of the #Glasgow station
Over four weeks, a team of 90 engineers worked circa 21,000 hours to remove 2000 tonnes of material and install 100 metres of new platform walls, 160 metres of new track and connect it to existing infrastructure, as well as extending overhead power lines by 50 metres. #GQS
Platforms 2 & 3 at Glasgow Queen Street station re-opened this morning, following completion of 4 week programme of work.
Part of £120m project to redevelop & expand Scotland’s 3rd busiest station, they were extended by 26 metres.

Emergency services are working to recover a double decker bus which crashed into a railway bridge in Fauldhouse this morning.
There were no passengers on board, and no-one's been hurt.
.We have examined bridge deck & tracks & conducted preliminary inspection of exterior with only minimal damage visible.
We are awaiting recovery truck to remove bus roof & will carry out a full inspection then. We anticipate line will re-open at normal speed
