IShowSpeed was in disbelief after seeing a detailed painting of himself with two gorillas. He looked shocked at first and thought it was “racist”, not knowing how to react, until he realized gorillas are a respected cultural symbol in Rwanda 👀🔥
Since #AI bros are all showing off things they’ve “made”…
I made this.
Twenty five years ago, I drew this animation by hand, with pencil, on paper, frame by frame on fours (AI “filmmakers” will have to look up what that means) by slugging the timing (again, look it up) below the drawings, at which point it was handed off to human beings who rotoscoped my animatic (keep researching, guys) with both CGI and traditional/digital tools to make it match exactly what I’d drawn.
It took a long time and a lot of work.
But I can say “We made this” and there’s no debate to be had.
See how that works?

PBS is still alive.
It may be down, but it’s not out.
To keep it from ever being out, donate to your local station if you can.

Ah, well, the thing is, when I said we should "circle back to this in the new year", you have to understand that I genuinely thought this day would never come. I thought holiday forever

I remember what it was like before social media, and it didn’t used to be this bad. Most people had a certain level of respect for the idea that they didn’t know everything, and were probably wrong about most things
