If it’s ain’t broken don’t fix it.

I have been skeptical of this saying most of my career but the more I live on Earth the more I understand this engineering saying.

Most of the things don’t really need fixing, they simply work. But I always thought that I must contribute in some shape or form and make things “better” mostly for selfish reasons to show that I know or else I don’t have a purpose. This often comes out as phony.

As Confucius once said “goody-goodies are the thieves of virtue”

Here is the very funny thing though, once you realize that you don’t need to fix anything, a wave of peace lands on your mind. That very state makes the creativity flows to naturally create without any ulterior motives, and the things you create may improve humanity and naturally replace existing things. Not because you wanted to, but you because you didn’t have a choice but to create.

We human feel natural vs unnatural endeavors, it is a very fascinating thing.
