I could understand when a Dravid or a Pujara batted at the pace they did. Technically speaking, notwithstanding their watertight technique, their range of attacking shots were limited.

OTOH, KL Rahul is probably the most complete batter India has had after the great Sachin Tendulkar as far as ability is concerned. Of late, KL’s ultra defensive approach where he bats at a SR of 30s-40s for an extended period even after seeing off the new ball, is baffling to say the least. It’s already cost him a few centuries and is definitely going to cost him lots of runs in the near future should he continue to ‘play possum.’

His approach during the 2016/17 season where he batted freely is the need of the hour. High time he addressed it #KLRahul #SLvIND
