To those who are also waiting for a bit, waiting for things to get better, you're not alone. There's lots of us in a big ol' waiting room together. See you in there. (4/4)

CW: suicide, self harm, video of tattooing
"And if you're reading this and have ever felt like you want to kill yourself, or you're even feeling like that now- wait for a bit. That's my key to those feelings that make you want to do something that's very hard to undo. 🧵(1/4)
Well, I asked a tattooist to put 'wait for a bit' in Chinese characters (等一下) because it's been a really helpful reminder for me. It's on my thigh where I used to put other 'reminders' long ago (self-harm). (3/4)
The Department for Work and Pensions has refused to say if the prime minister was wrong to suggest that disability benefits were being misused and exploited, after new official figures showed the level of fraud has fallen to zero.

the bridgerton fandom putting their differences aside; eloise haters joining hands with nerds, polin and debelope (?) shippers coming together, people who care about benedict and the rest of us; all to destroy the person who said nicola coughlan isn’t attractive
Maybe, instead of National Service for 18 year olds they should introduce national service for MPs.
They all have to do several weeks volunteering in a school, GP, hospital, care home, social care and police within their first 12 months in office.
The idea “every aspect of the support for disabled people” must “help people get into work” is deeply grim from Labour. Benefits and the NHS don’t exist to turn disabled people into economic productively units. They are to help us live well. https://t.co/qrgEsAlGHv
‘Where is Rwanda?’ A copy of the leaflet being given to people detained for Rwanda.
Imagine being handing this while you’re imprisoned in preparation for exportation?
I’m endlessly appalled. I can’t comprehend this is who we’ve become.
I'm now starting think that the government believe if you work, you don't need PIP. But guess what, you're still disabled even if you work and you still face extra costs. They don't all magically disappear, in fact they can increase! 🤦🏽♀️
Noone gets £1000s on PIP.
I have never met ANYONE whose disability costs are completely covered by PIP.
Disability is expensive.
PIP is not an out-of-work benefit. It is a disability-makes-life-expensive benefit to level things out just a bit.
do you know what is unsustainable? footing an extra £975 a month in living costs just because you’re disabled. then work places being inaccessible and impossible, and said wages when earned not rising with cost of living.
Autism + ADHD in one brain = internalised chaos (the Autism wants routine and the ADHD wants spontaneity). Add to this external chaos (Hostile environments including people and policies) and you get extreme and debilitating demand avoidance. Then add to this complex post traumatic stress disorder caused by many years of unmet needs, hostile environments and wrong labels = AuDHD with trauma.
AuDHD folks are not traumatised by their neurodivergent differences when they understand themselves, they are traumatised by those who don’t and won’t understand them.
