The comments section on this post shows exactly why we need a change in the current polarized environment in India especially in the context of healthcare.

This is a news related to medical care. A large number of people in the comments section do not understand (or maybe have forgotten or brainwashed) what humanism means. It is the core of medical practice. There is absolutely no regard for anything in medicine other than looking at the other person as a fellow human. The buck stops there.

In healthcare:
Actions are based on rationalism:
Rationalism: "the practice or principle of basing opinions and actions on reason and knowledge rather than on religious belief or emotional response."

Decisions are based on the scientific method:
Scientific method: "an empirical method for acquiring knowledge that involves careful observation coupled with rigorous scepticism, because cognitive assumptions can distort the interpretation of the observation."

Reasoning is based on humanism:
Humanism: "a system of thought centred on the notion of the rational, autonomous self and ignoring the conditioned nature of the individual, attaching prime importance to human rather than cultural, traditional, socioeconomic, religious, caste, creed, gender, race or political nature of the person."

All brothers and sisters across the world are welcome to enjoy healthcare benefits anywhere, anyplace, anytime because healthcare is a universal right.
