विज्ञानाच्या क्षेत्रात काही अचाट चालू आहे. अमेरिकेत डल्लसला असलेल्या एका संशोधन संस्थेनं सुमारे १२,००० वर्षांपूर्वी नामशेष झालेल्या एका लांडग्याच्या प्रजातीला पुन्हा "निर्माण" केलं आहे. प्रयोगशाळेत.

ज्यांनी Game of Thrones ही मालिका पाहिली असेल त्यांना तो आठवेल. त्यात घेतला आहे त्याला. अर्थात ते CG असणार..

ह्या तंत्राला gene-editing तंत्रज्ञान म्हणतात असं वाचलं. हे तंत्र विकसित झालं तर त्याचा माणसाचं आरोग्य सुधारण्यासाठीही चांगला उपयोग करून घेता येईल. कमाल आहे !

कधीकधी असं वाटतं की गरिबी, रोगराई अशा किंवा जाती-धर्मातील द्वेष, अज्ञान ह्यावर उपायही विज्ञानात मिळतील का?
