🟣A currency board may be a good idea in principle. However, this Govt has a knack for taking a respected principle or economic idea then twisting, distorting and mashing it up until it becomes a bad thing. Look what they did with the forex auction? Have you seen their rendition of a Sovereign Wealth Fund? Sugar tax?
I could go on.
The economy doesn't need fancy terms or hare-brained ideas.
It needs an honest conversation about the fundamentals. Nobody has confidence in the Zimbabwean currency or the economic direction. Half the population lives in extreme poverty. Price hikes are choking the common person. Our taxes are the highest and most extortionate they’ve ever been. Wages have been eroded, especially for civil servants.
The Government rejects payment in the local currency for something as basic as a passport. Hyperinflation is in quadruple digits according to economic experts, the highest in the world. Policies are never consistent. Property rights are repeatedly violated. There is no land tenure so one of our greatest assets has been reduced to dead capital.
There’s no transparency with foreign agreements that encumber national assets. We ignore the ballooning debt crisis. Corruption is rife. Government overspends but never on the people. Nothing works.
It’s a mess.
We need new leaders.🇿🇼
How much does the government spend every 5 years on cars: Ministers and deputies,
Members of Parliament
Chiefs
Polad members
Permanent secretaries
Directors
Commissioners
Heads of depts
Security chefs
etc.
But hospitals have no ambulances and drugs . Zimbabwe is not poor. We don't have leadership. #Asakhe
@CucsmanM @MYANC@MbalulaFikile Thank you Mbaks, we know we can always count on you guys to applaud nonsense in Zimbabwe so that we can come there and build your country for a penny.. Siyabuya eMzansi!!
We can't keep saying
Let's wait till the next election
Since 2000 that has been the song
Let's wait till the next election
Time moves
Dreams die
People get old and lose hope
Something gotta give
Or else the song will never change.
Even if they cut off his mic, people can still sing his songs word for word. He is the voice of the people and he will never be silenced. History will remember him as the artist who chose to stand with the struggling people of Zimbabwe during tough times, risking his life and refusing to accept blood money.
God bless Winky D🙏🏾♥️

@freemanchari Brain dzemaZimba dzatova damaged... They don't know kuti having a side hustle in a proper economy is the exception not the norm. In a proper economy you can be a millionaire uchienda kubasa chete without a side hustle.
I drove from Byo center via Fort street - Plumtree road turning left at Datlabs up to Morningside . I counted 186 Street lights. Only 2 were working. So this council can't replace street lights, can't. fix roads, can't collect garbage, So what's their use? #Asakhe
