@extramsg@wweek I see ur arrogant responses to other comments. Its pathetic to nitpick n twist words of others, grasping at any pos comment u have to throw at the wall to seem superior. ur friend wrote a bad review, people reacted. he’s in a position to be scrutinized, the same thing he's doing.
@extramsg@wweek re: clearly white. assuming a chef, honoring his heritage, needs to adjust his food to the palate of the majority demo is blatant colonial mentality. people go to experience Haitian food, not white-washed food. if you don't like that culture's cuisine, that's a you problem.
@extramsg@wweek he uses being jewish as an accolade in reviews & to promote YOUR book. using his own descriptor in the same context is not racist/antisemitic. you could have targeted any of my other adjectives but you pinpointed that to fit your narrative to call someone, a poc at that, a racist
@CraptnFreedom@wweek i did. and i’ve been to the restaurant. imo it was great. if you’re swayed easily by people who have a platform to preach from, there’s many other preachers out there who have dubbed Kann the best new restaurant of 2022. read the comments. they tore this article apart too.
@CraptnFreedom@wweek what isn’t found in Haiti? ribs?? 😂 my guy they have ribs. if you’re talking about the price again, then ffs no one is making you order it.
@CraptnFreedom@wweek lol that’s what you should have stated originally. this statement should have stood alone. it has nothing to do with Haiti. can i afford a $95 entree? absolutely not. welcome to the world of fine dining where prices are outrages. subpar is an opinion. have you had it yourself?
@CraptnFreedom@wweek you’re comparing wealth of a developed country to that of a third world country. it would be exploitation if you expected the food from a fine dining restaurant based in a developed country to be dirt cheap just because the country of origin has low socioeconomic status.
