@elonmusk Interpret it how it suits your political ideallogy, but I took it to mean some people need more help to go to school, put food on the table and get a university education. Not assists and bank balance. Your Dad wouldn't have been this arrogant out right publicly manipulative.
Watching the Presendtial debate it's clear that neither candidate is mentally fit to be the Commander in chief. Painful to watch Biden get lost in his own sentences and Trump get lost in his own self grandeur.
@jakeshieldsajj Persecuted minorities should be allowed o express pride in what was previously used to discriminate against them as a way of pushing back against those prejudices that still exist. Mocking it demonstrates your prejudice, hence their need to demonstrate pride.
@HerbsandDirt Kids with Autism and ADHD either dropped out or were the odd or extrentrict kids of the 70s. They ate foods they had allergies to and were bloated, gassy and tired. The difference is our classification and diagnosis not the underlying problem.
@arnocordo @gunsnrosesgirl3 Hedge funds mostly manage mutual fund money for people's retirement and if successful help prevent market bubbles by identifying over valuations and shorting while most people are buying. Like all jobs, people are paid relative to the supply that can adequately fulfil the role.
@svpino Think about why you are picking a metric to make yourself feel better about life choices. Europeans have 5-6 weeks annual leave, universal healthcare, cheaper university, lower incarceration rates. Pick any metric you like to feel you have it better, but ask why you need to.
@brian_armstrong The problem with Greece and it's inability to pay debts in the Euro crisis was precisely because it couldn't deflate it's debts via increasing the money supply and it never controlled how much Euros were in circulation. It also shows that governments can still borrow too much.
@brian_armstrong I don't think it solves the problem. Fiat was linked to the Gold standard and was a major reason the Great Depression was so severe. Besides Crypto doesn't prevent governments from printing bonds to borrow Crypto.
The events in Israel and Palestine show us in Australia how lucky we are that the dispossed original inhabitants are a peace loving, forgiving and patient mob. I hope Australia will recognise the prosperity they have allowed us to have and give them some dignity and a voice.
@mjrowland68 pumpkin is a fruit. Just like cucumber, capiscon, zuchini and tomatoes. Fruit comes off a plant that can grown many fruits. Vegetable is the plant.
Time the rest of Australia to say sorry for the dispossession, massacres, stolen wages, racism, and the stolen generation. Let's give them back their voice and recognise that white settlement was the cause of a lot of the issues that our peace loving first Australians face today
@greg16676935420 It's the 90-10 rule. 90% of people make 10% of the money while 10% make 90% of the money. Since exchanges/brokers collect roughly 0.01-3% in fees they win no matter which way the market goes.
@MrBlackOG Cheating is relative. Controlling people typically demand more isolation from a partner till basically they can't speak to someone else while hippies and polyies encourage multiple partners. Pick your spot on the scale then react accordingly.
@KTmBoyle As an engineering and science degree graduate, I respectiful disagree. Arts teaches critical thinking that we seem to be woefully in short supply of. We need more people who can see the world from differing perspectives. AI can take care of most STEM skills shortages.
@nireyal So carb-crashes typically induce a snack need for me. I have a protein shake for breakfast, vege-bullet or other low carb lunch and soup or no dinner at all. Multi-day fasting also helped permanently reduce my appetite even months after stopping.
@elonmusk Truth is relative to your perspective. The same fact can create too opposite truths to two different people. E.g. moon landing photos can be 'the truth' that we landed on the moon to one person and 'the truth' that it was faked to another.
@ProfFeynman I'll add to that by saying never confuse intelligence with wisdom. There are plenty of intelligent, completely un-selfaware people who are miserable in their cerebral elitism.
