Hi! My name is Siarrah Smith I'm a Middle School education major at Illinois State University. My endorsements are in math and social science. I am so excited to start my sophomore year spring semester! #tch130
A6: I think this relates to this lesson the most are engaging and responsive. As a teacher you want to engage the students in their learning making it enjoyable and you want to be able to respond to their needs and adapt when you notice they are lacking in certain areas. #TCH130
A5: Every young adolescent is growing and developing into the person that they want to become and this film depicted that through their color. The film showed all these adolescents as a gray color because their creative side was suppressed. #TCHEdBirds#TCH130#TCH296
A4: It’s good to take risk in the classroom if it means it’ll promote your students learning and engagement. This short film taught me that it’s good to switch things up in your classroom and important to spark new curiosity and learning styles. #TCHEdBirds#TCH130#TCH296
A3: “Alike” made me rethink what lessons I wanna teach in school. When teaching I want to inspire my students in their work to show their personality and not be draining it can be for a student when they are forced to do the same thing over and over again. #TCH130#TCH296
A2: The short story “Alike” reminded me of how school felt like a place where you went and did the same thing as every other kid. This video showed the lack of creatively lead to a lack in drive in student, representing by their colors fading. #TCHEdBirds#TCH130#TCH296

In my readings I learned a lot about what goes into the development of young adolescents. Their development is more than their cognitive skills but also their social and emotional, with so many factors like the community or family that go into shaping their development. #TCH130
This is my teaching platform, let me know what you think! I'm excited to see how my views on teaching change throughout the semester #tch130#teachingplatform
