As the crockery shattered on the ground, I found myself strangely moved. I too was broken, my gravy dried up. It was just a mug - but then again, so was I
I don’t know who this bloke is, but he looks like he’s stepped straight out of a different era.
The suit. The tie. The moustache. The confidence.
A proper throwback to an England that valued character, individuality and a bit of class. 👏👍✊🇬🇧👌❤️🙏
@socdemsam@ram_3k I don't care if you think each of these people should individually have made sure their outgoings match your expectations. Statistically wages are stagnant, rents are up, cost of living is up, and so consumer debt is up, number of people with no savings is up. Direct causation.
@socdemsam@ram_3k Yeah man. In London? Rent is whatever the median income can bear. Outside of London, as a young person, if you have savings they are almost certainly towards a deposit, if you have a house then your money almost certainly goes straight into the house maintenance/mortgage.
@Candlefight12@socdemsam@ram_3k Incredible coincidence that this fall in financial planning skills so neatly coincided with stagnant wages and rocketing rents
the grooming gangs are the original sin here, because "the police are anti-white racists" was basically the only explanation, however absurd, left once the media (and the left) failed to properly highlight wider police corruption and bigotry, let alone taking an ACAB stand
aside from the sheer gratuitousness of the Sarah Everard case, which for all the (justified) outrage has led to zero meaningful change, we've had *11 years* of the spycops inquiry, whose main throughline is "undercover cops both genuinely hate the left and love abusing women"
