🇬🇧 This morning, before Mr Justice Chamberlain at the Royal Courts of Justice, the Bayswater Support Group, Keira Bell, and James Esses will seek permission to proceed with their judicial review against the Health Research Authority and the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care. They are also seeking an emergency injunction to halt the recruitment of children into the UK’s puberty blocker clinical trials while the case is considered.

Sometimes among adolescents with autism, there is magical thinking that transitioning will, in the words of one of my clients, “get rid of this body” that is chronically ill or disabled.
London (July 25) — There was a wheelchair brigade at the London Trans Pride event. Many have questioned why there is a clustering effect for young people with physical disabilities and radical trans activism.
“Gender dysphoria was an intentionally squishy diagnosis from the start. We know this because the man who coined it made his aim clear.
In 1974, Stanford psychiatrist Norman Fisk published ‘Gender Dysphoria Syndrome: The Conceptualization That Liberalizes Indications for Total Gender Reorientation’ in the Western Journal of Medicine.
The keyword is liberalizes. Not ‘describes.’ Not ‘identifies.’ Liberalizes. The strategy was right there in the title: widen the gate. Expand eligibility for hormones and surgery. Give clinicians breathing room against a still-skeptical medical establishment.”

It might be uncomfortable for some to hear it, but there's a shit-tonne of HIV/AIDS money behind the professionalisation of trans. It started a long time ago when public health experts realised "trans women" are at extremely high risk of acquiring HIV.

Paper citing my work on adolescents' self-diagnosis of mental DOs. Yes there should be serious concerns about the role that social medial algorithms play in continually presenting young people with psychiatric information. TikTok is a spread vector for progressive mental-illness-as identity.
Wow, this raw account by @BrandonMShow of what it’s like to be in the trenches of gender madness is a must read. He hits so many gruesome stories that all of us know, and the sad thing is there is even more. No, this isn’t some fringe topic. It creates horrors beyond the imagination and affects us all, whether we realize it or not. And those us who have sacrificed so much to fight it are tired of being called right wing extremists.

My gut reaction upon reading this was: OMG. How could surgeons be willing to do this!?
Then I remembered that they're inverting penises; sewing arm-flesh appendages onto women's groins, creating colon vaginas, and performing mastectomies on teenage girls.
So of course they're needlessly smashing ribs! Silly me.
The inevitable social contagion of detransition is already well underway.
In the same way that thousands of young people once encountered someone just like them online announcing, “I’m trans” — and soon adopted the label themselves. Now those same people are encountering detransitioners.
People who have the courage to say: I once believed I was trans, but now I realise it was all a lie.
Every detransitioner who speaks publicly is helping to spread the idea that recovery is possible.
In a tragic symmetry, the same social mechanism that once drew so many into this medical scandal is now working in reverse — leading people away from further medical harm and towards self acceptance and truth.
But the responsibility for fueling this recovery does not fall on the shoulders of detransitioners alone.
It falls on all of us.
Because we cannot truly support detransitioners while continuing to uphold the very belief that led them into harm in the first place.
True support begins with society-wide ideological detransition. Until then, the waves of detransitioners will just keep on coming.
We must stop pretending that a new type of human being has been discovered — that a serious psychiatric disorder is an innate healthy trait.
We must stop pretending that amputating healthy body parts is medicine, for anyone of any age.
And we must stop pretending that becoming a lifelong medical patient is a human right — something to be encouraged and celebrated.

"The idea, which has kind of permeated our society now, is this determinist idea that every trauma in childhood will have an outcome in adulthood.
But what we need to recognize is that traumas in childhood, if we protect our children, for example, not being invited to the birthday party or picked for basketball, is not going to destroy your life."
The inimitable Nancy McDermott, Director of Genspect USA speaking as a member of our esteemed family panel at our Detransition Awareness Conference.

With the sensational case of Christine Jorgensen in the 1950s, the private sexual fantasies of autogynephilic men quickly solidified into an all-consuming quest to undergo vaginoplasty.
Early psychiatrists noted how many of the men seeking these drastic surgeries reported being unable to think of anything else from the moment they heard such a surgery was possible.
It has long been recognised that the availability of a medical treatment has the power to iatrogenically create the demand for that treatment because it gives hope to people in distress.
In the 19th century, surgeons removed the healthy ovaries of women as a cure for mental illness. This led to a mini epidemic of women fixating on their ovaries as the source of their distress and begging surgeons to operate.
This often overlooked iatrogenic mechanism is one reason why the continued availability of puberty blockers is so dangerous.
As long as puberty suppression remains a treatment option, it will draw young people who hate their developing bodies into thinking that blocking that development is the miracle cure for all that ails them.
In today’s episode of Beyond Gender, @stellaomalley3 interviews me and the fabulous @TwisterFilm about wannabe amputees, trans, the weird world of fetishes, and much more.
