"People are not offended when women feel opressed by the culture, but they are offended when they feel free because of it" Oh she clocked those incels so bad 🤏🏻
While everyone writes and talks about the rapist, Tarun Tejpal, I want to share this incredibly powerful article by the survivor. She is that "one victim". Make sure that this is the one thing you read today. In complete solidarity and more if possible.

I recently concluded a matrimonial case and obtained a decree of divorce by mutual consent. I was hired by the wife. She did not take a single penny in the divorce, no alimony, no maintenance, she even paid the fees for both the lawyers, me and the other side lawyer. She bore the entire expenses of the divorce process.
There are millions of such divorces happening in Indian court everyday where the women just wants freedom from a bad marriage and wants to give up alimony and maintenance so that he will quickly agree to mutual divorce.
But MRAs will whine about the micro miniscule percent of women who take what they deserve.
IS NATIONAL MEDIA TALKING ABOUT THIS????

@HUFT_India I complained once. Nothing happened at your end. Your store had no idea or remorse for the stolen identity. This Tushal contacted me again today. Are you not responsible under the data protection law?
@HUFT_India your Hauz Khas Delhi store let my personal information be stolen by an ex employee Tushal, who is sending me unsolicited marketing messages for his new store. What level of safety of personal information is this? How can someone’s number be available for spam?
There are those who studied the constitution for their degree; swore by the constitution for their position; decode the constitution daily for their work. And then there are the young protestors in Delhi, who imbibed the letter and spirit of Babasaheb's constitution and practised their rights and freedoms. Our democracy and future is hopeful because of these young protestors. Meanwhile, Govt. - Police - Courts are busy playing "law and order", a game of colonial vintage.
Short thread recommending literature on the dual identity of Latin American white elites as both colonising white supremacists (inter-regionally) and anti-imperialist radicals (extra-regionally), since Argentina seems to have broken the Anglo-European world’s mind
Bengal: Rape-Murder Of 11-Year-Old In Bengal Pre-Planned: Police. Kidnapped, raped, bundled into a sack and thrown into a pond by a gang of men while still alive, the brutal killing of 11-year-old has once again shone a spotlight on endemic sexual violence in India
RIP Sam Neill (1947-2026)
Sam Neill on why "The Piano" (1993) is an important movie in Cinema history:
"I don’t think I can overestimate how important 'The Piano' (1993) is for me in hindsight. It sits on my funny old CV like a medal on my chest. It wasn’t my film. It was Jane Campion's. I wasn’t the star of the film. That was Holly Hunter. But there is honour to be found in the second fiddle. Or fourth. No one notices you much, you don’t get nominated for things. But you served. I was there in an important feminist film. I was there on the front line in an important New Zealand film. Neither of these labels does the film justice. It’s a work of art. And look, that tiny little figure in the fabric— see down there on the right—that’s me. It’s a film that will always have a place in cinema history. And I served in it."
