Yesterday morning I was feeling mentally drained and physically exhausted.
Not the best way to start the week.
We are in the thick of it right now.
Gym events every weekend. Track meets and a plethora of kid activities, sometimes back to back in a day.
Growing up, food was something you ate, not something you created with love.
My relationship with food was one of overindulgence and quite honestly pretty fucking terrible.
Dinner was probably the healthiest thing I would consume during the day as it was always planned and eating out or ordering in was a treat every couple of weeks.
I had no idea how to make chicken parm and I thought I was going to fail at cooking school.
It was my first hot foods class after the preliminary sanitation and knife skills classes during my first semester in culinary school.
This was my first “career” change as I had received my Associates degree in Graphic Design, started a semester at Rowan to work toward my Bachelor’s, but started to feel like I was spinning my wheels and wasn’t in love with being stuck in an office behind a computer all day.
All it took was one good burp.
