@ZacksJerryRig Some people are creative thinkers, innovators, and risk takers. These people change the world. The timid, weak and unimaginative can only imitate genius. The Chinese don’t have God on their side and so they will never receive his gifts of inspiration.
@IdahoeLiberal@OwenShroyer1776 I’m a Christian. I thought Trump was the lesser of two evils. I had high hopes in 2015. So far I haven’t been impressed.
@BBQNSweetTea@StrictlyK@OwenShroyer1776 Owen likely doesn’t realize that he’s living in sin and his recent misfortune it’s because of it. By pointing it out to him I hope to call attention to the problem, lead him towards repentance, and back to Jesus. God bless, brother.
@BBQNSweetTea@StrictlyK@OwenShroyer1776 We are all living in sin, especially me, some are just less aware that they are even being sinful, less aware of the consequences of sin, and less focused on keeping it in check. We are are sinful, the goal is being conscious of it and working to rid ourselves of it.
The Bible is open to different interpretations I guess. The way I read it, I am told to watch out for my brothers in Christ, and call them out when they misstep. The goal is to correct behavior not condemn it. I haven’t lied at all. And yes, 🙌 , I absolutely believe God was at work when that post moved through me.
You’re not a Christian if you don’t think that Christian’s should live in accordance with the Bible. Even worse, you think that all manner of sin is okay and acceptable to Christ. I’d your brother was walking off a cliff would you not try to stop him—to warn him? This is an act of love not judgement.
If a brother in Christ is on a path to hell should we let them continue, or warn them of their misstep? Being a Christian isn’t all love and acceptance. It’s often times means saying the difficult/unpopular thing. This is done out of love, in the spirit of correction, not condemnation.
I have known Owen for years. This isn’t an opinion I formed based on a haircut. I’ve had my eye on his behavior for nearly a decade. He is a farm-league talent with major- league celebrity pride. I recognized this very early on and was hopeful that his talent would one day catch up with his ego, but the opposite happened. He’s not a nice guy. He’s not a humble servant of Christ. He is ME obsessed, self-righteous, convinced his own sh*t doesn’t sink. Fire those of you who don’t know him personally, he is one half the character you know from the radio. He’s not a nice guy. He doesn’t have a warm heart. And that’s all I’ll say about it…
This is what drug induced demon possession looks like, folks. Completely vain, self-centered, slovenly appearance, an “I’m above it all” sort of persona, resting on his laurels and his connections and his past associations, instead of putting all of his faith in Jesus Christ and being spirit led. It’s all about Owen and proclaiming every weird new idea that rattles around in his drug-addled brain as the “voice of American reason”. He believes he’s a stalwart in the media space, but he’s just not even close. It’s really the yes men he’s got around him—feeding off of him—that are to blame. It’s sad really. He’s high, not living right. And this is exactly a crash out as everyone is saying. Sponsorships aren’t coming in like he thought. The fan base is getting smaller instead of bigger. He’s moving toward irrelevancy quickly. Pride is a tricky bitch. God has a way of humbling even the most obnoxiously proud. I pray for him but I don’t know that he is necessarily deserving of it at this stage. Just gross.
Imagine if everyone in your social circle had Down syndrome. This is how I’ve heard it explained to me. There’s nobody to talk to, nobody can understand you, it’s hard to connect with anybody and so you’re always on the outside looking in. They want to talk about football and dancing with the stars and you have been up all night trying to better understand the nature of God or something like that.
Great post. I couldn’t have said it better myself. The Bible is very clear about over indulging in food, and so many Christian’s don’t even think twice about it. It has never made sense to me—it’s like a running joke. As Christian’s we should keep a light diet. God’s voice is loudest when we are struggling against hunger.
She was lucky you provided her an environment to grow up in that didn’t force her to face the grim reality of life in the world. She should thank you for allowing her to live in fantasy land for as long as you did. Instead it sounds like she is suffering from some weird form of self-hatred. I don’t know why or how that happens, probably the school system. You have to raise them in the church now if you don’t want them to get weird on you. In any case, I’m sorry, dad. Praying she is able to get her head together sooner rather than later. Time with our parents on this earth is short! ❤️
Jeremiah 29:11
“‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.’”
@meaganmalek@deannkh10 Good for you, getting it to a family. Homeownership has become unnecessarily difficult because of greedy people. God smiles on people doing things like that. Good job, missy!
