@HSRailGroup Your poll and analysis is nonsense. #HS2 is a highly destructive waste of money that would do nothing for the vast majority of people who live and work in Yorkshire.
@jackwallerGTFC @frances_cutler @EmBeck2015 @penny__traitor@HS2ltd And generally attract significantly more long distance and European air travellers via the creation of additional external flights. This transport plan is a catalyst for increased pollution in Manchester, throughout the north, and beyond. #HS2#Greenwashing
@Outoftweet123@yorkshirepost West Yorkshire Mayor Tracy Brabin also still has blind faith in #HS2, a faster train from Leeds to the south that few in West Yorkshire support. Sadly, her response to the further development of a West Yorkshire Metro has been lukewarm at best.
@TanDhesi Nothing more should be spent on establishing if West Yorkshire needs HS2 from Leeds to Sheffield. Disappointed at Tracy Brabin's lukewarm response to the concept of a West Yorkshire Metro. The WY Mayor and @UKLabour should lobby to spend the full sum on the West Yorkshire Metro.
#bbcpnw "Northern Leaders" duped into supporting #HS2 that took resources away from local transport. They should have been lobbying for regional solutions, trains, trams & buses that would benefit ordinary people instead of a London-centric white elephant sucking activity South.
@JenWilliamsMEN Have you read the #HS2 PFM reports? The additional services that HS2 assume their scheme would create on the classic network at Manchester Picc is just 2 tph at the expense of cuts to station stops. Nationally, 130 stations are assumed to suffer rail cuts when HS2 is operational.
@mcahs2 Melodramatic outpourings yet the sad reality is that families, friends, communities and environments have been displaced by #HS2 and this will continue wherever this wretched, corrupt, deeply unpopular scheme is built.
@stophs2bramley@grantshapps@BBCBreakfast@TVNaga01@Alex_Stafford If I had a pound for every time I'd screamed at the telly this week I'd be rich. The mis-information AND dis-information being put out by people who don't even understand the failings of the now abandoned #hs2 eastern leg are unbelievable. No benefits = no good. It's simple.
@yorkshirepost Get a grip. #HS2 is deeply unpopular in Yorkshire and throughout the country. Spare a thought for the families, friends, communites and environments this highly destructive scheme has already torn apart.
@RAIL@Rail I understand your anger but HMG knew the cost & programme delivery issues in 2015 and 2019 but did NOT share them with Parliament, Oakervee or the public. The decisions yesterday were inevitable. Had you allowed me the right to reply, you wouldn't face embarrassment
@LBC The #HS2 PFM reports v7.1 & 9 assumed that when HS2 became operational, existing rail services would have been reduced at 130 stations from Inverness-Southampton adversely affecting direct/onward connectivity. From Leeds, HS2 went only to Ldn, Bham & Toton, but created ECML cuts.

@quantinghome@belebenso@JayMitchinson Therefore, drop the high speed plans, retain IC services on existing long distance routes, prioritise the creation of low environmental impact multi-stop routes from villages>towns>cities to get commuters in West Yorkshire out of their cars and onto clean, green public transport.
