I’ve published Part 1 of a 2-part piece on why Indian equities have struggled since September 2024.

The key point: SIPs and domestic flows changed how the market reacts. They helped absorb heavy foreign selling, but they did not remove valuation, earnings or liquidity risk.

Part 1 looks at:

• why more household money is moving into higher-risk parts of the market

15️⃣ Putting it together

📈 Technicals strong: $QQQ and $SPY above 65-EMA, but $SPY breadth is falling as mega-caps dominate returns.

💸 Liquidity flat: Fed balance sheet not expanding; the Fed just signaled an end to QT lasdt week, but net liquidity hasn’t grown yet.

📉 Macro softening: yield curve re-steepening, sentiment weak, leverage high.

Today’s CPI ~3.0% y/y and crude oil is calm (ignoring the spike and backwardation vs futures of last 2 days)—but a renewed oil rise could reignite inflation fears and keep policy tighter for longer (even risk a hike).

IMO and I could be wrong, we’re not at the top yet — but we’re much closer to it than the bottom.

Late-cycle rallies can be powerful. Just don’t mistake them for new beginnings.

@AxisBankSupport Also this is a technique used by axis bank to not reply and keeping on adding the interest on the pending bill. This won’t be tolerated as the customer has been continuously following with the bank with repeated letters still there is no action taken on it.

@AxisBankSupport It’s Axis banks duty to contact the customer directly and resolve this issue. We have provided 3 letter reminders to the bank manager at mumbai vile Parle branch and still haven’t got a response from there. This is a method used by axis bank support to not reply.
