90th Birthday Message

On the occasion of my 90th birthday, I understand that well-wishers and friends in many places, including Tibetan communities, are gathering for celebrations. I particularly appreciate the fact that many of you are using the occasion to engage in initiatives that highlight the importance of compassion, warm-heartedness, and altruism.

I am just a simple Buddhist monk; I don’t normally engage in birthday celebrations. However, since you are organizing events focused on my birthday I wish to share some thoughts.

While it is important to work for material development, it is vital to focus on achieving peace of mind through cultivating a good heart and by being compassionate, not just toward near and dear ones, but toward everyone. Through this, you will contribute to making the world a better place.

As for myself, I will continue to focus on my commitments of promoting human values, religious harmony, drawing attention to the ancient Indian wisdom which explains the workings of mind and emotions, and Tibetan culture and heritage, which has so much potential to contribute to the world through its emphasis on peace of mind and compassion.

I develop determination and courage in my daily life through the teachings of the Buddha and Indian masters such as Shantideva, whose following aspiration I strive to uphold.

As long as space endures,
As long as sentient being remain,
Until then, may I too remain
To dispel the miseries of the world.

Thank you for using the opportunity of my birthday to cultivate peace of mind and compassion.

@UC_Assist Had a disappointing resolution call with your staff who didn’t take any real action on the professional despite the lies spoken by the professional . Was surprised to see the lack of a customer first mindset despite being a very old member of UC

Had a very bad experience with an @urbancompany_UC carpenter , he didn’t complete the assigned task and also disappeared randomly and cancelled the task. What’s worse is that UC’s annoying chat bot service goes into a loop and doesn’t address the issue .

To simplify this 12 lakh Nil tax issue :

➡️Suppose your income is upto 12 Lakhs

➡️You pay 0 for the first 4L

➡️From 4Lakh - 8Lakh i.e the next 4Lakh,
you pay 5% tax = 20,000.

➡️From 8Lakh - 12 lakh i.e. another 4Lakh,
you pay 10% tax = 40,000.

➡️Total Tax Payable= 60,000

➡️Standard Deduction rebate = 75,000.

So effectively , post rebate there is no tax for income upto 12 lakhs

All this is under the new tax regime

How do you change a flight time and PREPONE it, 2.5 hours before the flight at 4 AM in the morning, expect me to make it on time, and then when I do get there 5 minutes behind on the NEW TIME , you do not let me check in my bag and make me pay for a new flight?

I got no email, and one measly text at 4 AM this morning that my flight time has been preponed from 645 to 630, and you close your check in counters according to 630??

There has to be some sanity in flying in this country. Flight providers cannot whimsically play with people’s times and lives without us being compensated, and more so without making us pay more for their errors.

This is a violation of any reasonable terms of service.
