Indian doesn’t have any labour laws!
we've been programmed to have a slave mentality by our society, most often our own parents to say “yes”to everything.
You'd see the same in most homes and offices, where a “no” is regarded as
an insult, and you're expected to say “yes” all the time doesn’t matter you’re on “leave” “sick” etc… and prime reason is “unhealthy competition” and “capitalism” unless you’re very strong mentally it’s very hard to survive in daily life!
Tech Management think it is better to “make people run away by putting so much pressure that they give up” rather than “retaining and making them better” to
benefit all three themselves, their business and the employee.
This mostly comes from having zero emotional quotient, too much greed, along with ego, and learning from movies which show a boss has to act a
certain way “thanks to The Devil mindset”
and majorly, it comes from
thinking, Americans do this, they fire, and so shall we" and also thinking that having the ability to "fire" or using the word "fire" makes them powerful or cool.
Whereas, actual management lies in bringing the best out of people, without the need to scream or threats
or insults and talk about it!
Unfortunately- this pressure cooker start from the bottom from school, college, parents, work, social etc…
A reason many talented individuals in tech want to immigrate abroad from India especially EU and US.
our daily work culture is so screwed that if you even try to leave the office at 6 PM in the evening , people be like—Ohh half day today.
No dude; I've life outside work, you enjoy your 10% hike.
let me live my life 🤡
individual life has no meaning in India, you’re your own… your life your choice!
but again “NRI life have everything but No people so in short” design your lifestyle based on your terms and never accept things which you’re not comfortable with! Act accordingly!
The Pale Blue Dot is an iconic photograph of Earth taken by NASA's Voyager 1 Spacecraft on February 14, 1990.
When Voyager 1 was 3.7 billion miles (6 billion kilometers) miles from the sun, far beyond Neptune, mission managers commanded it to look back toward home for a final time. It snapped a series of 60 images to create the first "family portrait" of our solar system.
The picture known as the Pale Blue Dot shows Earth within a scattered ray of sunlight. Voyager 1 was so far away that Earth was just a point of light about a pixel in size.
@OnTheGrapevine Don't forget they joined in 2020 - Had to give their JEE and Boards during peak COVID, then the admissions happened late, their semesters were fully online and rushed though in no time, no winter break, didn't get an opportunity to meet their classmates in person in 1st year. Sad
It's placement season, and I understand how stressful it can be for everyone. Even when you see people around you achieving everything seemingly easily, remember, it's okay. What is meant for you will not be taken away. Your success may be delayed, but it will come.
One day, for sure, you will achieve what you are meant to. Stay resilient and believe in your journey.
might take you 6 more months, might take you 2 more years or maybe 5, but you're going to get it done. you're getting over it and going to get where you wanted to be. it's just a matter of time and you're definitely a warrior 🫶
@pushkar1713 No one has interest in anything. It just that influencers promoted only tech. You haven't explored those domains so you never know your interest.
Business planning, strategies etc are also very interesting instead of robot like person who only code in front of screen.
As a college student, invest in getting an extra monitor if you can.
It will take your productivity and learning to next level if you learn and code at the same time.
