I'm now able to tell my agent “we are going to work on JIRA-1234” and it goes and pulls down the task, makes me a plan, I say yeah okay that looks good, and it generates the commit.
I run an AI review from a different session, it finds 4 issues of varying priorities, I paste it to my original agent and say validate these findings and fix them if necessary, it creates a fix, I run another review, no more high priority issues found. I open up the code in an IDE to go over it before pushing it up for human review. Looks fine I guess, nothing crazy. I try to understand everything before I push it up for review because if this breaks, it's still my name on it. I say why did you make this one change, it gives me a reasonable explanation for why.
It says something codebaity like "if you want I can suggest 2 more ways you could really tighten up this work to prevent some rare but possible regressions". I'm smart enough to not fall for it.
Code pushed up, task moved to in-review. I didn't write any of it, this is not my accomplishment. Users won't care who wrote it if it works. A lot done in 20 mins but it felt soulless.
What happened last night is a testament to the fact that when you give wings to a dream, dreams do come true.
The girls were brilliant, but one must acknowledge the support behind this watershed moment, four years of planning and belief. When @JayShah Sir was the BCCI Secretary, the @BCCI introduced initiatives that changed the course of women’s cricket, from equal match fees and the Women’s Premier League to a stronger domestic structure, India A tours, and a thriving U19 pathway.
Now, the @ICC continues to shape the women’s game, with the World Cup being hosted at home and the prize pool raised to 13.88 million dollars, a fourfold increase that shows how far the game has come.
For every person standing behind a young girl who dares to dream of wearing India’s colours, this is a pivotal moment, a reminder that dreams do come true when those dreams get the support they truly deserve. ❤️

Sensational headlines that shame a founder on his apparel versus support them on their net contributions is everything that is wrong with media (social and press)
Today's trending news: Unacademy CEO Announces No Appraisals While Wearing $400 Burberry T-Shirt, Internet Reacts
So what is the point being made?
* Had Gaurav's wardrobe comprised of t-shirts worth $4 versus $400, could this situation have been avoided? Would the $394 per t-shirt saved have materially impacted the profitability or growth of Unacademy positively?
* Is it that it was insensitive of him to be wearing semi-luxury apparel whilst communicating his message?
I for one will make my judgements from the content of his communication, and the humility in his acknowledgement of having made a mistake rather than the label of his clothing
Being a Founder is a lonely job. Ben Horowitz summarizes it in his book - "The Hard things About Hard Things". Founders face constant uncertainty and change. It is an emotional rollercoaster. It involves tremendous personal sacrifices. It often comes at the cost of personal relationships, physical health, mental health, personal happiness and more.
The edtech businesses in many a country have faced existential crises. India perhaps leading the pack. Unacademy is amongst the last companies standing in the country in this space. Certainly it is not free from challenges. Every company goes through their trials and tribulations.
I empathize with every individual at Unacademy. It cannot be easy to receive this announcement. I can state from experience that Founders take no pleasure in these decisions. It is always with a heavy heart. It is not motivated by personal gain.
However, I can say, that this is a Founding team who have on several occasions slashed their own compensations, taken paycuts, aligned their incentives to the performance of the company, and toiled towards the betterment of access to education in the country. This is a company that has created and maintained 1000s of jobs in the course of its history, and provided low cost, affordable, high quality education to lacs of students.
If the media and the community wishes to help humanity, then lets celebrate Founders during their wins and support them during their trials as opposed to reducing the legacy of an organization and its founders to the logo of their clothing
This is not the first and will not be the last of the challenges Unacademy may face in its journey. I will continue to cheer from the sidelines knowing that the Founders, the leadership and the entire organization will brave these and other tough times in the relentless pursuit of democratizing education in the country, and, irrespective of the foibles, flaws and failures they have and will continue to have a net positive impact on the lives of many.

Airtel Xtreme has just no customer support. I have not been using its services for the last four months and have requested for closing the connection. Still, they are imposing a bill on me every month.

This is extremely good advice. In winters or rains, washed clothes never hang dry outside. The treadmill makes for an excellent indoor hang drying place.
Which cooking oil is the best? Is it refined oil or olive oil? Mustard oil or ghee?
I have written about this previously, but given so much of misconceptions around it, here’s a thread demystifying cooking oils to help you choose the right one!
Saw this on LinkedIn. Seems pretty accurate. What do you all think??
The 12-step Script that an Indian Software Engineer, who arrives in the USA, mostly follows
𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗽 𝟭
As a student, work hard to fulfil 3 goals
(A) Pay off the Student Loan
(B) Get a job anywhere in USA
(C) Get H1-B approved
(This one is the most important goal).
Simultaneously make elaborate plans to return back to India within 5 years
𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗽 𝟮
H1-B approved
Enjoy the influx of Green Currency. Buy a Toyota Camry or Honda Civic or Nissan Altima.
Also, buy a property somewhere in India
𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗽 𝟯
Invite Parents from India on Visitor Visas.
Take them on the
Char Dhaam Yatra-
Niagara Falls
Statue of Liberty
Charging Bull in the Wall Street
White House
𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗽 𝟰
Go to India, finalize a Girl, and get married in 3 weeks - Of course it's arranged marriage
Come Back to the USA with your newly married Spouse
𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗽 𝟱
During weekends & lunchtime with other Indian friends, endlessly discuss 3 topics
(A) When are you going to get your Green Card, & what is your priority date currently?
(B) How Modi is transforming India
(C) Cricket
𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗽 𝟲 - Buy a Home in the U.S
Have 2 kids. Spend the next 15 years dropping them off to various Classes, attending Birthday parties, & visiting Home Depot for various Home projects. Invite in-laws from both sides (him/her) every six months to help in house & for kids.
Step 7
Green card waiting is over. You got it.
𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗽 8
By the time, you are in 40s, you have saved enough Funds. The plan for returning back to India has not worked out. Now find new ways to spend money.
Buy a Tesla or BMW or Mercedes
Also your India properties aren't lucrative anymore as INR has further depreciated against USD so enroll into a difficult struggle of selling off the properties in India, paying a hefty Capital Gains Tax in India and remitting the funds back to the US
𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗽 9
Now comes the time for a midlife crisis. Another shiny new Car, bigger Home, Green Card, & a High-paying job doesn't add anymore substance to your life. Now do something exotic to add flavor to your existence. A Marathon Race, intermittent fasting
(or) maybe opening a new start-up.
𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗽 10
In your 50s and 60s, after your kids have graduated from Stanford or MIT or Princeton, discuss how your life would have been Very different, had you returned to India 5 years after coming to the USA.
Charitable donations come to mind mostly to save taxes.
Step 11
With Children going away and enough time in hand, cram each year with trips to Europe, visiting Pyramids in Egypt, enjoying Turkish Delights, and visit Italy.
Start rediscovering India and share with friends back in the US how India has improved a lot in the recent Decades. Get surprised with different ways the children ended up in life
Step 12
When Functional Mobility decreases - ponder over the big Question - whether to
Go back to India (or) stay in an Old Age Home or Assisted - living in US

The ROI (return on intellect) of science is lowest in physics (massive intellect, no return) and highest in deep learning (no intellect, massive return).
A complete rewrite is the only option when you don’t understand how code works. And good software engineer will soon realise that its first steps towards walking into a field full of land mines.
Having gone thru many rounds while creating an $8 Billion co (@dreamsportsHQ), thought I’d share some funding/dilution planning math for #founders#entrepreneurs to try to own 30% (yes!!!) of their company while creating more Indian 🦄s
